Sorry, I didn't get home from work until after 10:00pm tonight. Hope you had a turn out.

I wasn't able to get online until after 11 last night, and I saw that Slider and Flip had signed out 2 minutes before I came on. Not sure if anyone else made it out.

i think we had me, flip, slider, k town, and marcus. Despite the small turnout, it was still fun. There was also a lot of douche.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
It was 2-on-2 or 3-on-2 for the entire night.
And I couldn't talk. Here's that story.
The lamp in my TV blew yesterday morning. So I'd just planned to play Warhawk on the bedroom TV. No worries. Oops. I forgot that I'd swapped out PS3s so the replacement slim upstairs didn't have anything loaded on it. Didn't figure this out until 6:30 or so. Started to download Warhawk then realized I could just swap out the PS3s, use the main PS3 upstairs with the same connections. Swapped them out, booted up Warhawk... but because I'd begun downloading the game on the other Slim, it considered this playing the game. (WTF?) So I had to download Warhawk and all the expansion maps. Frantically set up my bluetooth, loaded up my Warhawk cloud save for my saved maps, fiddled around with the maps to make them all smaller and booted up the game just a few minutes after 8pm. Great success! Except the bluetooth wasn't working. Still don't know why. And I couldn't shut the game down to use my headset. Being mute with all that douche that happened last night just wasn't fair.
Nic, Slider and I traded off being total dickbags for the majority of the evening. Even K-Town got in the mix with a few timely mines. Trying to balance without a mic... also impossible with 5 guys. I kept getting put on teams with 3. I tried swapping teams but then Marcus got pissed because I was a flip-flopper (just trying to keep both teams honest -- and torment Nic as much as possible). Eventually I just tried to keep Slider from using the binocs. I teamkilled him with a few TOWs to keep him honest.
Highlights:
Insane collection map at the center base on Badlands. Someone commented that every possible douchebag weapon was placed just within everyone's reach. This one was over far too quickly. Gotta make it a higher core total to win. K-Town snagged 40+ cores in five minutes. Nic and I were just steamrolled that map.
Grinder CTF. Still excellent chaos. The binoc spamming is actually comical in such a confined area.
I heard K-Town taunting Slider when they were teammates on the one snow map CTF. "Why can't you get the flag back??"
I kept taking him out in the Warhawk and sending him right back to the opposite base. I think Nic and I must have had the center spawn point.
All in all, it was a pretty entertaining evening. You fargin' iceholes that are skipping out on Tuesdays are missing some serious shenanigans.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Dear Chess & Weekly Warhawk group,
I have some terrible news to share. Last thursday Chew was rushed to the hospital suffering pains in his side. They did an emergency surgery for a spleen issue. There were complications and he passed away. I am a very close friend of his and everyone is devistated. I know how much he loved gaming and playing with you all and wanted to let you know. You can find his obituary on the westgor funeral homes website. Look under Matt Langdon.
I know in addition to Warhawk he did some other online gaming once and a while (IE: borderlands), please forward this to others that might not see this thread.
Chew was one of the most amazing people ive ever known. He was an incredible friend. Thanks to all of you for being a part of his life that brought him happiness.
Take Care,
Jeffery Mashke

Shit. I never play this game but I knew Chew from around here. Seeing this makes me really sad. He will be missed around here. Thanks for coming here to post this information.

I think it might be time to bring the number of CTF matches down to two or three and have the rest of the night be TDM and DM on large and small maps. There just aren't enough people showing up.

Not that I need one this week, but we should probably find a backup host for those days that I can't make it. Nic or Slider? Can either (or both) of you commit to backup duty?

3-on-3 for a while there was great! I blew up a few jeeps, tanks, and Warhawks by smashing them with my wrench and it was fun to try out some of those new maps. I think I could have done without the mini heart attacks I had each time I heard the binoculars being zeroed in on me as I tried to run away (usually in vein).

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I don't know how everyone else felt, but I thought that was the best night we've had in weeks. Everyone seemed to have a map they dominated... I really don't know what it is about K-Town and that crazy Collection map. I definitely had the most fun on that snow map with the transports. Some peeps were taking some punishment... until I supercharged that motherfucker right off the side of the cliff (with the flag).
And I'm supremely disappointed that nobody came to hunt me down on Acropolis when I was hiding right under their base. I mined the shit out of that bunker. All I needed was one dude to come down the ladder. POPCORN!
Oh well. Maybe next time.

Going to bet that my tent in Kyrgyzstan is less fun than you guys had in Warhawk.
Sounds like you guys had a fun night. Hoping for an R2 sighting.
