Slider.

I think I figured out what felt "off" last night: Chew. When he dropped out, I thought maybe we'd upset him somehow...was kind of worried about that since he's been such a big part of this and also because I take some ownership in folks having fun.

Glad it was just a power outage.

Picked up the new cable modem during lunch, hopefully that's all it is so I can play a little Burnout tonight.

I have to start writing this shit down!

"What's Australian for douchebag?"
"We just call em dickheads."

"I feel kind of cheated."
"Why?"
You didn't say "BALLS"

"Is it me, or is Slider kind of an asshole?"
"Noooooo.....not Slider!"

Flaming Turtle of Death is to Warhawk as Joey Fatone is to N*Sync.

one other thing that was funny, on the map where there is a base, a bridge, and a city...I was running around the city, and there was a fight going on...and BOOM...Nic's warhak bellyflops infront of me, bounces off the ground, and dropps balls. which = huge explosion and everyone dies...it was a giant cluster fuck of inability and non-gracefulness...

The Sullustans are naturally a nervous people. Don't go discounting Nien Nunb because of a few genetic deficiencies. Dude was a rock up there.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I was talking with "Shao" about the game last night. He said he had a great time...pretty sure he's a regular now. He also got the expansions and said the jetpack was "bad ass".

He was joking about how much he has invested (something like $28) and said that we'd better not quit any time soon. I laughed it off and told him that at this point, it costs me more per hour in electricity than it does for the game, expansions and even the dynamic theme (that's right bitches, I bought it). I'm guessing that I have some 300-400 hours in the game now.

He's also planning to get the RFG expansion and will hopefully be able to join us this week. He was super frustrated that he couldn't last week.

@ R2

We've gotten in such a groove on Warhawk, we hardly even have to talk about it anymore. Play on Tuesday...note a few funny things on Wednesday...and move on to the Wed-Fri discussion. That thread has really become the default thread at this point.

But hey, as long as folks keep coming out to play, it's all good!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

It's the day before Tuesday....ummm...bitches?

My plans right now depending on whether Cruz gets the expansions [glares at Cruz, who's probably saving his money for Black Ops ] are:

1. Full moratorium on mines
2. 0% team damage
3. 5 second spawn
4. Grinder w/ Vehicular Manslaughter rules (last map if Cruz is a douche...lobby if not)
5. King of the Hill w/o Warhawks (I think this is a staple now)
6. I promised Shaoxen some jetpack action, especially since he bought the DLC (next to last map if Cruz is a douche)
7. Mix of CTF staples: Archipelago, Supply Chain, Over the Bridges

Anything you guys would like me to load up? (other than a dogfight. )

8. I'm absolutely certain that nic can find other ways to be a douche.

I'd also like to do the TDM in the snow village...but...you know.

It will probably be short-lived, but yeah...figured I still owed you a week.

We actually get a lot of spontaneously funny moments from team damage, but it only works when they are an organic product of the game. Teamkills are not funny at all when they are purposeful and repetitive.

I think 50% is about right, and we'll get back to that next week.

As for mines, I tried to find some middle ground, but once you unwrap them, they just end up all over the place, and we have too many new guys who don't need any more nuance with their rules of engagement.

It's good that we have you here to tell us what is funny and what is not.
