Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I think the one I had the most fun on was Badlands. It was super close with lots of near scores, and we were fighting off the Z/Flip/Slider horde at the end just trying to hold the lead.

There were a few that weren't close at all, too. The one with me and Z on the same team was 4-0 for most of the map until we finally got one. And there was another map where I was on a team that was down 3-0 for some of the map, but I don't care about the score.

I didn't hear what she said at first, so when everybody laughed I was just sitting there. And then somebody repeated it.

Honestly, I care less and less about it...other than trying to balance the teams first thing.

The only time I ever really get annoyed is when I'm feeling "swarmed", and that only happened on the one map last night.

I distinctly remember a couple of "one-flag" losses last night, including one where I was maybe a second from tying it up at the end. So close...

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Turnout was a bit light this week with no R2 or Steve and none of my office guys showing up. Don is on vacation and Sean is traveling on business, and the guy who bought Warhawk this week just didn't show...and I'm not sure about Marcus.

We got to 5 on 6 at one point when Wiz was on, but that was about the max. I guess 11 isn't too bad for a "light turnout" night, and our potential is nearing 20!

king of the hill: it was a little douchebaggy, but we were up 3-0, i went to get flag number 4, on my way back to the base I spot Z running with our flag. I came around the turn, ran him over and planted the flag.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

If I'm ever legitimately stressed out it's because of the fucking binocs.

I tried to keep up with my TOW promise but I was too busy with Slider.

I owe Nic at least two. And a nicholls owes me a TOW because I thought it was Nic.

I knew as soon as you allow mines "under limited conditions", those rules get stretched and stretched. I saw more mines last night than practically the entire last year.

You were right about mines Chew. I pictured the occasional suicide bomber and not much more. Also, I'm sure the new guys don't get it...hence the joke about the Weekly Warhawk Handbook.

I'm inclined to revisit the "mine issue". Thoughts? Better pre or post suicide bombers?

"We're playing a game of who's the bigger douchebag"
"Slider wins!"

Slider knifed me and it set off a chain reaction of teamkilling and douchebaggery. At one point three of us were chasing each other around a spawn point slicing each other to ribbons. Good times.
Cruz was settling right in...definitely holding his own...and Lee is sorting out the particulars.
If by settling in/holding my own you mean being pwned in the skies, torched in a tank repeatedly and suicide jumping then I am settled in.

I killed some one with a mine in the sky and shot someone's Warhawk out of the sky with a tank, so I wasn't totally defenseless.

i think suicide bombers are ok. I am not a fan of mining the flag or the binocs.

Me in both cases.

On Northern Bridge, I tanked a Warhawk hovering over the red base from the top of the hill on the blue base. One in a million shot. I think it was Brian's wife.

I agree.

Definitively...mines are OK on a jeep with you in it but are otherwise a no-go. I'll monitor for abuse [glares at Slider] and adjust the ROEs accordingly.

I was just looking through the early days of the thread for nostalgia's sake. Chew was the second post, and I don't think I realized that Steve has been around longer than Flip...or at least he posted sooner.

Seeing RDR start to fade a bit, I'm struck at how amazing it is that we've gone this long.

If RDR had the multiplayer customization options that Warhawk or MW2 has it would have much longer legs IMHO.

Hogwash! You are a positively fearsome defender. You've probably flamethrowered me a thousand times...and don't get me started on your knife-wielding skills.

One of the first things I check when a map starts is whether you are on my team, as it gives me a good idea of how much defense I need to play.

There is a lot to be said for role-playing and predictability on your team.

Until I can start taking out Warhawks with a tank while each are moving, than I stand by my statement.
