I have voice chat set to the headset, but still have game sound coming through the TV albeit at low volume and with music turned off.

Now that I think about it, you were actually pretty hard to understand a lot of the time.

That may have been attributed to me not holding the L3 button down long enough.

I'm still limited to 8. If somebody else wants to see if they have better bandwidth, I'm happy to let somebody else host...but 8 players on a small to midsized map feels sort of "right" to me.

Best method is to just send me a friend invite and join my game.
Right when I signed on there were 8 in the game. I remember logging into the server when it said 7 of 8. But I think that only lasted for one game.

It looks like I didn't get you put into the Clan list, Ravenous. I'll send you the invite tonight. We'll fill this thing up yet. Once we're all in, I can start the transfer of Clan leadership so we can all get that additional Clan leader trophy too. We just have to keep passing the torch through the ranks until everyone gets it.

I think rotating hosts will also add some variety to the Tuesday night game, as well as take some load off of chess.

I'm cool with that if anybody wants to do it, but it's really not much of a cross to bear.

Meanwhile, I do my best to add variety as requested...or ditch modes that irritate Chew.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Gotta apologize to everyone for being a no-show the last few weeks. I've been on travel for work and I've barely gotten a chance to fire up the PS3 in the last couple weeks for anything other than a movie or a quick round of Street Fighter IV. I'm hoping I'll be able to join in all the Warhawking again soon.

BTW, I already have that one, but I disbanded my old clan a while ago.

I'm going to make sure I get the last clan invites out today. If anyone still doesn't have one by tomorrow, let me know.

I havent gotten a message, so I guess I have to accept when I put the game in the system tomorrow. After about a month, that should be my first night back!

I sent yours on Saturday night. From what everyone's said, I don't think you get messages... I think you just have to go into the Clan section and look for invitations. Seems like they'd send a notification of a received invite or something! But no. I get to be your annoying reminder instead.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Hopefully you have my name already, and no, I don't have the trophy.

I mostly just can't wait to play. I should have a friend playing tomorrow as "frizby2", and he's a complete noob.

In other news, eroc and wife had a baby this weekend, so I'm not sure whether he'll play, but if he does, be sure to congratulate him!

Chess, you're listed on the Clan invitation pending list. Do you still not have the invitation on the clan invitation board?

I thought I joined up. The trophy definitely came up. Anyway, I'll check it out when I put the disk in tonight.

I should have the server up right on time tonight with more peninsula and some hero mode. If turnout is ANYTHING like last week, it should be a lot of fun!

Hmm. Curious, indeed. I signed on for a quick public game last night and checked the roster. frizby was definitely listed on the pending roster. But if you got the trophy... maybe something just hadn't updated on my end. When did you join?

C'mon. It's gameday! Let's hear some chatter.

I saw something last night that I hadn't seen before... someone had attached one of those health geysers (I don't have a clue what its called) to the back of a jeep so it provided a little bit of a shield while they were driving, plus healing power. Seemed pretty genius to me. Does that also work with land mines? Could you attach a land mine to a tank or jeep and run it into something?

Even more funny is attaching one of yours to somebody else's Warhawk right as they jump in. They just fly off and die...usually before they figure out what's going on.

Some folks have been known to attach 4 mines to a jeep and do the suicide bomber thing, so yeah, it works. I'm just not sure I get the point.

Would you die from the explosion? You can't die by your own mines, right? I could see the point to take out a tank or something. If I don't have a gunner on the jeep, a friendly mine seems like a reasonable accessory.

Placing a health geyser on the Warhawk sounds like a great idea! Now I'll be obsessed with getting that to work.

I've done both! The jeep damage is only apparent if you get up enough momentum and jump out in time. BTW, I'll see y'all tonight - chess, you think you could get a hero mode early in?
