Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising are 2 of the best zombie games on the 360. Left 4 Dead 2 is right around the corner so you may be able to get the first one pretty cheap.

Wow! I didn't see that many when I looked before.

Thanks! (not that I will buy one, but thanks!)

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Thanks again for your help. Picked up an Elite yesterday. Broke apart the shell casing on the component AV cable and it fit next to the HDMI cable. It's a little snug and the HDMI connector is pushed down slightly but no big deal I think. I still may pick up the M$ official HDMI cable on Ebay. I've seen used ones around $20.

Since this is a NEW console to me, do I have to use the License Migration Tool now? Using the HDD transfer kit, I moved all of the contents from my previous 120gb to my new elite 120gb. I was able to play both Peggle and Uno which I had bought on my old console. Does that mean I'm ok and don't need to xfer licenses?

Thanks

EDIT - Ahh, wait, I think I still was able to play those XBLA games because I was signed in to Live. I'm going to sign out and try again. Will post back soon...

Yes, to play your purchased content while not signed in to LIVE, you need to transfer your license from your old console to your new one. It's easy to do online, just time consuming if you have a lot of content. Wish there was just a "transfer all license" option, but there isn't -- you have to transfer every purchased game, song, gamerpic and theme individually.

I still haven't done it for the new console as I dread sitting there clicking on each and every item. What fun.

Apparently from looking around, the Bethel location in columbus ohio has 100 or so 1600 point cards left for 12.99. I don't have a 360 but I know a few of you here are from columbus and might like to know that info.

Interesting in selling your HDD transfer kit?

Anyone got an extra Xbox Live Headset they would be willing to sell to me? I broke mine the other day and need a new one.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

My headset busted on me for no reason. I called MS and complained and they insisted I had to send in the broken set (with receipt!) I said I would but had no intention of sending it in. i was just pissed and wanted to vent. strangely MS sent a headset priority mail anyway. Second time they did this. first time was for a transfer kit--they insisted I had to send them something and i said i would, yet they sent the transfer kit within 2 days priority mail.

Its worth a try.

There's an apparently pretty good Plantronics one available for $9.99 at Amazon or Buy.com (though I'm unable to check their website right now for some reason).

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Has anyone seen this 2GB MU yet? A friend of mine got one. It's a 360 MU shell that holds a micro SD card. The packaged one comes with a 2GB card.

Not only is it larger than any MS branded MU, it's also much easier way to back up saves to your PC.

Still a bit pricey for me.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Other than the controller and rechargeable battery, why don't they make any official accessories in black? I love my new black Elite but I don't like that my memory cards, chatpad, and Induction Charger from Teckno are all white. Think they'll start making more black accessories now that there are only two SKU's, Arcade and Elite?

I found a tutorial on how to paint the chatpad black so I may try that. I'd like to paint the memory cards black too but I don't think I can pop the casing off without ruining it.

Thanks

Thanks i'll give it a try. Do you remember how long it took to receive it after calling them?

I'll keep this one in mind if my next one breaks too. Some of the reviews says it s a tight fit so i think it might interfere with my hearing aids. I'd rather try one in person to make sure it would work before spending the $$ and not having it work with my hearing aids.

That would be great, i don't care what color it is as long as it works. If you do find one send me a pm and we'll work out the details. Thanks man!

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

I got my parts via priority US mail within 2 or 3 days. I assume the call center in the 3rd world country is told to give everyone a hard time, then at the end of the day someone from MS reviews each case and decides, 'F-it, send a headset anyway'

Old reply to an old query of mine that I never followed up on. I have a couple codes for "Banjo-Kazooie" and I'm not sure which one I've used.

Thanks for the tip. I'm just really nervous to enter the code and suddenly it's gone. But I suppose I have no choice...

If couple was more than 2, I'd be happy to test another.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Got a question:

I'm sending in my red ringed xbox. Took off the faceplate and the hard drive. What else do I need to do before sending it in? Do I keep the controller and the cables?

Yes keep them as they just want the Box (at least they did when mine red ringed last year). Did they send you a coffin? Heard they were stopping that.

No coffin I just got a shipping label mailed to me. So what do they send it back in? Just a regular box?
