I did see a stand-alone HM guitar with a dozen songs built in at Target a while back. Just plug the RCA jacks in, no console needed.

Just got a new Elite.

Am I going to have to hunt down a Rock Band disc to export the tracks again since they were saved data?

If you're not transferring the data over from your old HDD with a transfer cable, then the answer is yes.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Gotta say that 'My Old School' may be my new favorite track on Rock Band. I think that any of the classic Dan would make for a great track as Becker's guitar on most of the songs is just incredible.

Plus, I love singing along with the song while playing.

In retrospect, it may be 'Love Spreads' by The Stone Roses. That song rocks all kind of hard.

And not having No More Mr. Nice Guy...arguably his biggest hit, is disturbing.

*aside from the Jack. I much prefer the studio cut to the one we got.

Stoked for the TBS pack and at least "School's Out" (don't know if I'm familiar with the other songs).

In many ways, I actually prefer to have live tracks.....I mean, in the game you are SUPPOSED to be in a band playing a live concert, not recording an album...live tracks make it seem more authentic....granted, some bands sound bad live (especially when their singers just don't have their voice anymore), but sometimes just playing along with the studio tracks doesn't seem as rocking to me....

While I was originally hoping Pearl Jam would continue to release their albums into RB as they are being re-released over the next two years, I'm actually more THRILLED that instead we are going to get a track pack or stand-alone game featuring a whole bunch of live tracks instead!!

I'm in for Billion Dollar Babies and School's Out for sure. I might snag the Taking Back Sunday pack too, though I wish they'd thrown in something off their first album, as everything since has disappointed me.

Agreed, but at least it's the 3 strongest songs from the last album. But it's odd that they have a new album coming out in just a few weeks and RB is putting out tracks from their album that's 3 years old and not working any of the new songs into the pack.
