We'll see how well it works with Guitar Hero Metallica this weekend. If it's not good enough to play Expert+ there, I'll be taking it back.
Yeah, I was reading a lot of people complaining about this on ScoreHero. It sounds like the Twin Rocker doesn't have this problem and its actually under $27 shipped, but of course that doesn't include a pedal. I still might buy Twin Rocker + another Rock Pedal, depending on how much I like Guitar Hero Metallica. It's just a lot of money. Especially considering I've already bought an ION kit, a Pintech Cymbal, and a Rock Pedal.

I wish they'd come out with an extra RED Pad that can plug in just like the cymbals so that I could actually situate it like a snare.

Don't Stop Believin' is going to sell an absolute fuck-ton of downloads. Anyone know what the most purchased song to date has been (More Than a Feeling, maybe)?

Oh, you can, it only costs $299 and includes an extra green, yellow, and blue pads, along with cymbals and a (shoddy) kick pedal.

That's pretty interesting. I never would have thought the Offspring would be that high.

I am actually a bit surprised to see the other Boston songs so high on the list.

Still the best pack released in terms of "fun to play" IMO.

That may change for me tonight though.

I'd prefer that they could get it to work with a Roland V-Drum kit, but in this age where I'm spending a lot on DLC, I'm not ready to drop $300 on half of a real kit. If they can have MadCatz produce a peripheral cymbal, they can come up with a peripheral pad. (Or else I'll take apart my RB1 kit and figure something out).

Yeah that was pretty much what I was talking about. Pinball Wizard is a good example. RY hammer on to RB fails every time it seems. I'd swear I'm releasing the Yellow before the Blue, but maybe not. I certainly don't have any problem doing a R to RB hammer on though, so I assumed it was just the chords. I wanted to make sure last night so I tried it multiple times and missed every one.

Ten is damn fun, but I'd still put it behind Boston and the Who packs. Of course that's only after a single play through.

Well...I'm completely biased as I don't like The Who or Boston and still live my life like it's 1992-1997.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to disconnect my internet and make a phone call.

Aren't there already ways to get the Roland kit working in RB? I could've sworn I have seen videos with people using one.

I've got to go with TEN as holding the DLC crown for me right now - it helps that I love Pearl Jam but I think the charts are just fun as hell. There is hardly a boring song (Master/Slave doesn't count!) and it easily ranks with Boston and Who, but because I love the songs more, it edges them out. Also, the best buy tracks are solid too - that version of Alive is much harder/fun and the solo in State of Love & Trust is fucking crazy!

You can MIDI into the GHWT kit and do it that way.

I've tried it, beyond not wanting to keep my V-drums in the living room, I was getting too much false triggering/crosstalk.

I have thought about setting up a mini game station in the studio though....

Are you sure there isn't another, more reliable (and possibly more expensive) way?

Heck, I'd be ok with it working with a super old Simmons SDS8 kit.

There is some kind of custom deal made by I forget whom but I have not tried it. But that may have been PS3 only, at least back when I heard about it. Yeah it was more expensive so it's probably what you are thinking of.

I don't have the software/cable deal to adjust the GHWT kit, maybe that would have helped, dunno.

I like the Who quite a bit, but some of that pack was boring as hell to play.

I'm only a marginal Boston fan, but man those songs are fun.

I thought the No Doubt pack was a lot of fun too...especially now that New is in the mix.

I love Pearl Jam AND the songs are a blast. I just played through the album once last night, but this is one I'll come back to often. Porch, Evenflow, Black, and Jeremy were all awesome, and the big surprise for me was how much fun Once is to play. Oceans, Garden and Release are mellow sing-alongs...just playin' and hollerin'. The two I didn't get to were Deep, which seems like it would be fun, and Why Go, which I've never gotten in to for some reason.

So yes, Ten is my new favorite. The only albums I can think of that could come close are Zeppelin 4 and Siamese Dream.

What's weird is I've never been a huge fan of Why Go, but lately I've been really loving it and the guitar chart for it is nuts - one of the most fun songs in the pack IMO.
