I'm the exact same way. Maybe not so weird after all. Or maybe we are both weird.

edit: Well, actually I'm not that way with music. I'll do digital downloads over cd's any day. So you are weird after all!

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Wii's weekly DLC:

The Who- “Amazing Journey”
The Who- “Behind Blue Eyes”
The Who- “Eminence Front”
The Who- “Going Mobile”
The Who- “Leaving Here”
The Who- “Real Good Looking Boy”
The Who- “Sea and Sand”
The Who- “Who Are You”
The Offspring- “All I Want”
The Offspring- “The Kids Aren’t Alright”
R.E.M.- “Losing My Religion”
Richard Thompson- “The Way That It Shows”

Awesome pack, but it's not Ten. I would be disappointed, but still buy most all of it.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

How is the Wii handling DLC? Obviously the HD is out of the question. Do you have to use memory cards to hold the songs? If so, damn, that would get expensive.

You got it. You can fill up the internal storage, I believe, and the game can use the SD card for more DLC - up to 2GB. Each song is $2 and there are no packages and therefore no package discounts. Nintendo doesn't allow the same content in different configurations, apparently.

The Wii maxes out at 2GB SD's?

Correct. It can't read anything more than a 2GB card. That could obviously change, but that's where it stands right now.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

drum roll please.....

Ten is here. Queue it up!

For the first time, I actually left my 360 on before I left the house so I could download it before I get home.

Same here. Well kinda. I bought Ten in my computer, and then turned on the Xbox for a couple of minutes and then turned it off to let background downloading do its work.

I have the Xbox connected to a projector, and I wasn't going to turn on the projector just for a couple of minutes. And yeah I confirmed that the Xbox was doing background downloading before leaving.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

How did you confirm the background d/l without turning on the projector?

The ring of light (front lights), in the Xbox keep blinking every 30 seconds or something like that, when it's doing background download.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Watching npeaen's guitar charts and I can't believe I'm stuck here at work and my 360 still isn't home (out for delivery right now, though )

I love the extremely long guitar solo in Black. It's like 3 minutes long

It could have been longer if it was a live version.

My dream will finally come true: playing Black in guitar.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

I got up an hour early so I could play before work. Awesome stuff for the most part thus far, but I've found playing after only 10 minutes of being awake doesn't really do much for my coordination and reaction time.

Looking forward to playing through them all tonight.

Man, I hear ya. I can't wait to get home tonight. Going to close all the blinds, turn off all the lights and boot up the light and fog machine and rock out!

How large is the downlad? I need to clear out some space on my paltry 20GB drive.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

I've played a few tracks of TEN so far (when I first woke up) and with all the crazy hammer ons and solo's, you definitely need to warm up first! A lot harder than I thought it's be - but in a good way - so much fun playing these tracks. Listening to the deluxe album right now and soon I'll get back to RB and finish playing the album challenge. Anyone get the best buy US exclusive downloads? Wondering how they are? I need to get Brother so I hope it shows up in the store sometime in the future or maybe there will be another disturbed like fiasco with these codes... if anyone heres of something like that, let me know!

The download is about 384MB.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Evidently it was Lenny Kravitz and it happened a long time ago. I forgot the new poster's name that corrected us all on that a few weeks ago.

Since no news came out about a new artist or even getting to play Pearl Jam yesterday...

What, Pearl Jam and the Beatles aren't enough?

What would even be close? U2? The Stones? Zeppelin?

I got them. The CD has a slip inside with a code that you enter on Rock Band's website with your email address. They send you an email asking to click a link to confirm it. As soon as you do it sends you a second email with a code to use on Xbox Live. Shows up as "'Ten" Bonus Pack" in the queue with the 3 songs.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

So for lunch I tasted Pearl Jam and it tasted goooood.... I played them all on Hard Guitar and all were fun a blast except for; Release was pretty boring and Master/Slave is a snoozefest on guitar.

I know those that are going for singles will probably pass it over, so I have to mention my favorite out of the bunch was Porch. The chart was a blast, so if it wasn't on your list before, check out Shaggy's videos.

My BestBuy order of the PJ Deluxe set didn't show today. I can't comment on those yet.
