Oh....don't get me wrong....I think the "initial stock" will probably be something like 12 hundred billion million, so I don't think it'll be a problem.

I don't know whether I should disclose whether you were dead last or not. You know, to protect the innocent and all.

Well, I'm either last or next-to-last.

I don't really mind if other people know that I finished last. I'm just curious.

Heh, my legs and arms don't cooperate with me. It's like watching a turtle flipped over on his back.

Was it similar to the sound of millions of voices crying out and then being immediately silenced?

Hey, I've got a reputation to live up to! I was going for the 3-peat.

Honestly, don't leave the rankings out on account of me.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

BTW, Shag, I really liked the concept of last week's challenge. My guitar skills are not the best, so multi-instrument challenges really appeal to me. I understand that a lot of people only play guitar, so I don't expect every challenge to be that way, but it's a nice change of pace.

"I am tone death" works too, but it's usually referred to as "tone deaf."

In the future, Shag can you post each players difficulty levels. Just so I can feel good about myself coming in around the bottom of these challenges.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Looks like Harmonix is finally getting why they keep losing to GH - DLC is not what people want, they want a disc in their hand.

I can't explain the phenomenon, but the sales support it.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

But what HMX gets that GH doesn't is that people want a common library too. These discs aren't for people to have a disc. They're for people to get DLC that have no internet connection and/or method to buy their respective system's points.

These disc songs are not exclusive to the disc and available to everyone anyway. With the exception of AC/DC, but even that can be added to the main library and the disc discarded or resold quickly.

I don't think that's the main reason, not for next gen gamers. People want physical media.

I 100% disagree with you. DLC is the way of the future, whether you like it or not.

If Activision releases their six GH titles this year like they plan to, I can almost guarantee they're going to end up shooting themselves in the foot by tiring their userbase and cannibalizing their own sales.

If you're already in the downtown area, maybe we could grab a bite to eat or something though.
It's just a figure of speech, I'm not much of a drinker myself actually

I probably won't be in the downtown area but I would be willing to come up there. When/where is the HMX party, any idea?

I've got no idea yet. It will possibly be on Thursday, since that is "Suite Night". I found out there's going to be like 40+ HXM'ers out there, so I've got a good shot of running into someone and getting an invite.

It's weird, if we are talking about movies or CD's, I totally agree with this. I'll take a disc over a download any day always. When we're talking about video games, I don't mind so much and definitely prefer just downloading new songs instead of buying a new physical release...weird huh?
