Let us know what you think. I have a Logitech one for the PS3 and while it's pretty cool, most of the time it's just easier for me to use the controller than to dig that big thing out and plug it all in. I'm not sure I want to spend $50 on another big space-hogging peripheral.

Reading the Slickdeals thread, it sounds like they killed the coupon earlier this week.

really? i haven't used it recently so i wouldn't know. I think I used it sometime last month.

I think that K-Mart coupon was never really supposed to work outside of NY and Chicago. I used it in the Denver area a while back and they had to do a manual override and told me it wasn't supposed to be for any other areas.

I used the coupon last week in NYC. Woman accused me of fraud. Again. I sure hope they haven't killed it yet, I've so far picked up $120 worth of PSN credit for only $60.

The cashier accused you of fraud? And then gave you the item anyway? If they are still taking the coupon, I would use it like a $3 hooker. You don't ever find ligitimate 50% off PSN or 360 point cards.

She's rung me up three times and each time told me that I was committing fraud because she determined that I had reproduced the coupon. That it was supposed to be an email. I asked her if I was supposed to bring in my computer for which she had no response.

Oh, well, judging by the SD thread, it's been shut down at the Kmart at Astor Place, which is the one I go to. It was great while it lasted.

DVDTalk surprises me sometimes, they absolutely abolish the word bootleg but abusing coupons is celebrated. Awesome.

To be fair, it was a legit coupon off their website. No fraud was commited, they just came to their senses a little too late by allowing this coupon to see the light of day for even one evening. They quickly pulled the plug in most places across the nation. In those that didn't, that's fair game in my book.

Now when folks were trying to Jedi-mind trick Target cashiers into believing that 1600 point cards were in fact Xbox 360 software, THAT was coupon fraud and abuse in my opinion.

Not true. There has been an occasion or two the past few years, and more if you count non-specific deals like the K-Mart deal(It's not specifically 50% off cards, it's $10 off any purchase of $20).

Well bootleg is out and right stealing 99% of the time. Coupons are a really grey area for the simple fact that more often than not; the manufacturers are the ones putting out the coupons. Everything is also subject to interpretation as well. If the coupon is blatantly obvious, I will fight on it until the cows come home. If it is more ambiguous, I will argue my case a little bit but be okay with it not being used. I use my own judgment on how to use coupons and draw my own moral line when necessary.

With that said, if people want to use Jedi Mind Tricks to get something, then more power to them. Personally, I found it a little appalling when Amazon was giving money back for the PS3 console because of the Linux thing (and I absolutely hate the fact that Sony did that). But I'm not going to judge people who abuse coupons, even if I was moderator of this board.

FYI, I think the Kmart coupon is dead in Chicago too, at least near me. They said Corporate told them to stop accepting the coupons since they had reached the maximum # of times it could be used. 40,000 is what they told me, even showed me the email from Corporate. LOL
