Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

This is bullshit if the stores have no idea about the sale. I sure wish there were a printed ad to take elsewhere as I would prefer to not give Kmart any money on this deal.

Nope.

There is a Kmart rep over at CAG who will email the store for you, but I don't care to bother. I can't stand being treated like I'm a thief just because they don't read their own memos.

25PRE - 25% off preowned at Gamestop.com. Stacks with the Edge card for a total of 35% off.

Pinball Hall of Fame - The Williams Collection (360) is only $8.99. Picked that one up for dirt cheap.

Thanks! Just ordered Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for $25 (after code, edge, $10 off coupon, and tax). Paid with mostly credit too, so only getting charged $2.50.

A search didn't find it mentioned in this thread, but kmart has a deal where you get a $15 coupon for Halo: Reach if you buy the $10 DVD Halo Legends this week.

I had a $10 Gift Card for Kmart that they gave me the last time I filled a prescription there, so I just picked up Bayonetta for 20 bucks + tax. It rang up as 29.99 just fine, despite there being nothing advertising the sale in store. Although it was a pain getting someone to open the cabinet in the abandoned electronics area.

Courtesy of CAG, a couple of sweet deals:

Band Hero Export Code*: $7.98 @ www.gamedealdaily.com

Split/Second: $39.99 @ Dell

*note you still have to pay the 480 licensing fee.

I'm going by today to se if I can grab Final Fantasy XIII for PS3. I would prefer to go by Best Buy to get the deal for my RZ points though,

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

BTW, the Band Hero export is 61 songs. Not bad for @ $10 (depending on what you pay for points). I bought one, so maybe I have a reason to pop GH5 back in.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Do you need the BH disc to input the first code so you can spend the points to get the download?

I recently got my code from a case at Blockbuster. I was surprised it still worked.

If it's anything like the World Tour Export Code, you shouldn't. I did that entirely from GH5 without putting in my World Tour Disc.

Ah, but you would need either the BH or GH5 disc to put in the code, ok.

Picked up Darksiders and Bayonetta at K-mart today without a problem. They must've gotten their shit together.

I went and they had zero copies of FFXIII on PS3 so I had Best Buy match it.

The complete Civilization IV bundle is on sale on Steam right now for 10$ (base game and every expansion bundled together). A killer deal if you don't already own it because it is a great game that will absorb days of your life.

Yes, but it's not here yet, and there's no guarantee that Civ IV will play on Macs even when the service comes out.

I thought there was an unwritten rule here that if you buy a Mac instead of a PC, you're not allowed to complain when your new machine won't play almost any games.

This is true, however my Mac was provided to me by work, so... LOOPHOLE!
