I remember when the last Splinter Cell came out I thought I was lucky enough to find a limited edition copy on e bay for $40 less then a month after it came out. Less then 6 months later you could find it new for around $20

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

It's not a new price or anything, but you guys need to pick up House of the Dead: Overkill for $12.99. It's a great game for $13.

I think both Amazon and Newegg have it at that price.

Wouldn't hurt to pick up a Perfect Shot as well.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

So just a bit short of b2g1 basically. Not bad.

Unfortunately, Darksiders is the only one of the 4 that I'm interested in.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

If, for some reason, you wanted all 4 games, the deal gets more interesting.

Buy 2 of them get a $60 gift card. Out of pocket = $120 + tax
Wait a few hours until $60 gift card activates.
Buy other two games using previous gift card. Out of pocket = $60 + tax and you get a new $60 gift card.

Total out of pocket = $180 + tax for 4 games. Then you still have a $60 gift card. Effectively giving you 5 games for $180 + tax.

I believe my math is right, my brain is still sleepy.

That also assumes that the games are in stock both times and that the gift card activates within the same day.

Xbox Live $30 at Walmart Online. Use instore pickup to save on shipping.

And, Newegg has the wireless controllers (Black or White) for $30 as well with free shipping.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Question about Xbox Live... I just automatically re-upped for another 12 months and if I buy a card and enter the code, will my automatic renewal wait an additional 12 months?

I'm kinda interested in Darksiders. I just got $15 in their RZ coupons in the mail yesterday from all the Christmas shopping.

I know I don't care about Ao2, but would anyone recommend the other two games at that price? Or, would anyone in the Tulsa area be interested going halfsies on this deal?

Bayonetta is getting some great reviews, but I hated the demo...but the reviews are REAL strong...I got Darksiders, and after a slow start I am really loving it..

Amazon.com has a preorder for "Endless Ocean 2: Blue Ocean w/ Wii Speak Microphone" for $30. It mentions this bundle is "while supplies last".

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I may pick up Bayonetta and Dark Void with that deal, since I already got Darksiders. But I also hated the Bayonette demo, and was somewhat disappointed with the one for Dark Void.

I'm wondering how the receipts will work on this. I wouldn't mind going back and swapping a non-Darksiders for Mass Effect 2 if possible.

Forget it. Sadly, those days are over. After the last B2G1 sale, they've changed their computer system. Those games will ring up at $29.99 each and you'll pay full price for the GC. If you return one game, you'll only get half credit back.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Last week they had a similar giftcard deal with Bayonetta and Darksiders (except the gift card was much less), but I couldn't find Bayonetta at any TRU around here. Hopefully they restocked.

I bought Overkill awhile back, but haven't had a chance to play it yet.

I think I am going to try for Darkstalkers and Bayonetta on Tuesday. It would be great if Amazon PMed it, but I think I'll head that way first thing anyway. Can always return later.

Go Hastings 20% off used Games, 10% off new games.

www.gohastings.com

Use the code: "Hastings" at checkout.

I picked up Borderlands for PS3 for $37 (Tax in TX...would have been about $35 without).
