That's great for you guys, but seriously, I couldn't even imagine owning a PS3 and not buying Uncharted 2 immediately as your first game. It's so freaking amazing.

Uncharted is the sole franchise that I'm keeping my PS3 for.

When coming into a console deep into its life cycle, it makes sense to buy the cheaper games first and play them as you wait for the more expensive games to drop in price, as Un2 did for this deal.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I forget if this is the thread where we discussed the Kmart gaming coupons. Please let me know where, if this is not the thread.
I know that some of you here suggested that it can be used to get a points card instead of a game. My particular coupon expires tomorrow, Jan 15th. I tried using the $20 coupon today, Jan 14th and they said it was only good for games and nothing else. They tried using it on a $19.99 non-game item and it wouldn't work. I included a second item to push the total over $20 and it wouldn't work either. The CSR (not the cashier) tried it on a $29.99 game and it worked. I don't want another game, I want to use it and spend as little cash out of pocket as possible.
I tried to argue that it says "gaming coupon" and not "game coupon" but they said the computer won't accept it and there's nothing they can do. I called 866-kmart-4-u and they couldn't do anything. I called another number that the 866 number suggested and got nowhere either. Their final suggestion was that I write a letter to corporate to complain. BOOOO!! Any suggestions?

I used my last one on a points card last night. No problems. Can you try another K-mart?

It won't work on a 1600 point card because it coats less than $20. Only a penny less, but still. It should work on a $20 PSN card though if you need one. Otherwise grab a 4000 point card tomorrow -- its better than nothing. I recently had a $15 coupon I couldn't use because it actually said gaming software on the coupon. Make sure yours doesn't say that.
BTW they've killed future Kmart gaming coupons for a few months now because of fraud and are working out new discounts instead. Looks like the coupon train might be derailed.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
They're having some decent deals for Mass Effect 2, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Dead Space 2.
Buy ME2 or LBP2 and get another $59.99 game 50% off (offer valid through 2/12).
Buy DS2 and get 1600 XBLA Points or $20 PSN for free.
These deals will overlap as well. If you wait until DS2's release date you can get a really nice deal.
$60 (ME2 or LBP2) + DS2 ($30) + free XBLA/PSN card = $90
Or you can wait until 1/30 when ME2 will be on sale for $45 and get that and another $60 game half off. Two new releases for $75.
