Wouldn't it be Command and Conquer?

I've had a lot of fun with Devil Invasion after downloading it free yesterday. Not sure how long it'll be free but well worth picking up.

The Duke Nukem 3D port is free; I hear the controls are dull but can be tuned.

I know a few more.

Yes Decker thanks. See the review posted here for more detailed info. Basically it is a "shooter on rails" except instead of a gun you have a sword and shield. You can block with the shield (tap the block button), parry with your sword (swipe your finger in the direction the enemy's weapon is coming) and then swing your sword (swipe your finger in various directions) to deal damage. You and your equipment gain levels as you progress then you can upgrade your stats. You can also buy new equipment as you collect gold throughout the game. However the major selling point in my opinion is the gorgeous graphics. This is clearly the best graphics to date that you will see on a game on the iPad.

Some of the reviews I've read said the game was very repetative. Thoughts?

I'm not far enough along yet to really make a call on that. Will report back after some more play time.

EDIT: It is kind of repetitive, but it's strangely addictive (if that makes any sense). The challenge keeps increasing and I keep wanting to play more and more. You basically just fight other knights, but it has RPG elements that help you to improve, progress, etc...

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Revolt is free today only... highly acclaimed dual stick shooter but some complain about lags.

Also, if dual stick shooters are your bag I downloaded new release Red Nova and found it to be a lot of fun for $0.99. So far other new release dual stick shooter Max Adventure (also $0.99) is lukewarm for me but a lot of people seem to really like it.

I agree with this as well. It has that "just one more fight" feeling to it. Also, I believe they are working on game updates for it as well. Hoping that means new combat. I'm pretty sure they are adding MP to it too.

If you have an iPad, some of that stuff is insane. Like $10 -> 99c for Mirror's Edge.

I like games like Fieldrunners and The Creeps any games like those worth getting? I have Plants vs. Zombies but am not really thrilled about that one as of yet.
