Typically, the lite version is the first few levels. But more increasingly, developers are also releasing free versions which are the entire game, but ad supported.

This isn't counting the normal sales where dozens of apps go free for the day every single day. I think every game I've ever bought has gone free at least once, except Battleship and Plants vs Zombies.

It looks like the free TRON game has been updated with light cycles and a bunch of movie-related content. I am downloading it now, but reviews on the light cycles (specifically the controls) are not good.

Unfortunately, once you get rolling there's no downside. It's impossible to lose. But it was a ton of fun for a week or two.

I play it like an RPG. I enjoy making Romantic Shooters on main consoles and Animal based MMORPGs on the handhelds.

I downloaded Game Dev Story but have been disappointed for this reason. Sure it's cutesy and really, really fun at first but there's not as much depth as I would like and after a while it gets route. There's not enough challenge to really pay off. Sure it's "only" $3 and that might be worth it but as far as time investment goes I'm underwelmed.

True, you pretty much get on a roll and destroy the game, but it's a decent concept, and I like that you can use the unlocked genres in your next playthrough.

It's also probably sadly realistic, but it's so much easier to fire everyone and hire better talent than it is to grow the guys that got you there.

I don't think I need that in my games

Darn! I swear that I check that Gameloft page at least once every 12 hours, yet somehow I missed the free app yesterday, the normally $5 Dungeon Hunter.

Don't worry, the free Dungeon Hunter on 12/03/10 was Andriod version only (no Ipod), it's widely speculated the Ipod version will be a free gift later this month.

Tell me what you think of it. I've tried it but I'm so used to the Xbox 360 controls that I was fucking up all the time playing it on the iPod Touch.

It's not bad but I wouldn't pay more than 99 cents for it. The playbook is very limited and I'm still not sure how to control my defensive players.
