I started SpecOps last night. Very cool.

Three starred all of the missions in the Alpha section with my BFF.

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

After about 4 1/2 hours on Normal I'm down to the final SP mission. I quit playing late last night as I found myself just rushing through the levels in order to finish so I could move on to MP and that just isn't the right way to play this game.

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I'm awful at this game. MP is rough. I am trying the campaign on Hard and dying every other minute. Can't seem to get the aiming down or crouching/hiding. I think all the Uncharted 2 mp I've been playing has me using the wrong buttons. Not sure if I should switch them up or just tough it out until it clicks.

I'm on PS3 by the way. I don't own a 360, so it was an obvious choice. This is also my first Call of Diarrhea game.

It's probably the fastest-selling game of all time.

Sure, I never said contrary. Just that the way the world is treating the game is fucked up, and i like that comic because that's how i've been feeling about it. That's it.

Considering it's your first COD game you might also consider lowering the difficulty.

Don't disagree with that sentiment. But just because an opinion is correct, doesn't necessarily make it a funny comic strip.

Oh, I'm sorry about that. I've fixed my previous post accordingly. Put some ice on those feelings and soon they'll be good as new.

I don't play on hard. It makes the game not fun.

yeah, I ordinarily would start on normal, but read on gamefaqs or somewhere where people were saying it's best to start with the most difficult setting.....for some reason. I figured it would help me get an edge with mp. I only played an 30 minutes or so of the campaign. I think it's the hiding around corners, meleeing and jump/tumble from Uncharted 2 that I keep going to instinctively that screw me up.

I don't think Veteran gives you any advantage on multiplayer. Playing more multiplayer gives you an advantage. Beating your head against impossible monster closest.... not so much.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - No Russian in this thread

Sales estimates range from 11 million-13 million units by end-2009, which would put the game in rarefied company.

I wonder what other games have sold that well.

Seems like a good amount in the 5-8 million range, once you pass over 10 million the list gets smaller.

yeah, I think it was in reference to unlocking "crushing" in Uncharted 2 single player, so I'm not surprised it is a stupid idea. Any multiplayer tips? I don't have much unlocked by way of guns and add-ons but I can make a class, but the ones I made are pretty weak.

I'm guessing that the people starting on the more difficult levels are veterans of the previous games, and they want their single-player experience to last a little longer than it would if they set the difficultly lower.
