This game is addicting and well paced. I got through to Act III in one sitting.

I just found my first piece of enemy intel. Man they hid those things really well as I didn't run into any of them until late in the game.
No extra content, it's just that the enemies are a lot harder. You definitely have to be more tactical.

That level sucks until youtube shows you where to hide for 10 minutes

Man, I had full intentions of just checking out multiplayer for like an hour and going to bed. That was at 9:00 and it's now 2:20.... I couldn't frigging put the controller down. This game's a frigging blast!

Digging the Spec Ops stuff. My BFF and I are having a blast so far; it's like that mode was designed just for us.

Anyone else try out CoD Classic yet? It holds up pretty well. I think they did a nice job updating the graphics and framerate. I still think that they went too cheap by not including a bonus content disc in Hardened edition, but at least the XBLA game is SOLID.

I'm really disappointed that I have to wait until I reach a level 19 before they let me play the 3rd person multiplayer modes.

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Wow. So I just finished the single player. I've never sat down and actually finished a game in one sitting like that.

Here are my thoughts on the game so far:
Spoiler:

This is THE game for immersing you into the story. They did little bits and pieces with it before but this game was just incredibly cinematic and since it was all first person incredibly personal.

Some incredible wow moments:
Who prisoner 627 is. The very end of the airport level. When you first come up from the trenches and see the destroyed washington monument. Sheppards betrayal.

Unfortunately I thought that there were some negative aspects:
I didn't really like the blood splatter and thought it was really excessive and really doesn't make sense. It looks like it's blood splatter on a camera lens now.
The story was really good at being emotive but was a bit hard to follow. So in the last couple levels you are killing US soldiers? Aren't General Sheppards men US soldiers? They totally didn't really explain his motives. Why did he want that data? Did he start the war? They don't really follow through with what happens to Markov?

It was just a bonus mission, a very cool one.

Im loving the new multiplayer perks. Hardline is cool. I have a UAV every minute. lol. There are some many weapon add-ons, its quite overwhelming.

The terminal map is sweet. I also like Afghan alot.

Its good to be back to modern weapons after playing World at War for the past year. Just sucks I have to wait until level 70 for the AK-47.

I love that mission, it may have been my favorite.

I finished that level on hardened several times.

Amazing game. Played through the single player campaign in one sitting. First time I've ever done that. Probably took about 6-7 hours on Normal.

What's the deal with CoD Classic? Are they going to release it on XBLA? Any news of when and how much it'll cost?

So far i still am a little too run and gun to get too much of a kill streak.

The Harrier is one of my favorites where it just hangs over head and guns people down.

Loving it so far. Spec Ops is just plain and simple FUN! Buddy and I went through 3 or 4 trying to 3-star each one. SP seemed good too but didn't get very far because I wanted to try MP and SO. Oh, and I still stink at MP. LOL! Guess I'm getting too old and can't keep up with the tweenies anymore. Oh well, I'll still have fun even if my K2D ratio is like 1:20. Doh!

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I tried all three modes last night. For some reason, a lot of people on MP seem to think I'm a Harley rider, because they kept bringing it up, especially when I would accidentally kill a teammate. I don't even own a motorcycle!

What's the gamer etiquette with regards to care packages? People were dropping smoke near the spawn point and then leaving. Since know one was around I picked up the bonus for myself. Is that wrong?

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I'd say as long as the guy who called it in isn't standing there, go for it. In general, I think as long as the enemy doesn't get it, it's fine.

I think you are better served to pick up any you can.

When someone on your team calls a care package, anyone on your team can pick it up and use it. Also, anyone on the other team can pick it up and use it. So, you would want to grab it before the enemy does, even if you aren't the one that called it in.

If someone on your team gets pissy, then tell them they should stay near the drop spot and not walk away and chance giving the perk to the other team.

It will come to XBLA & PSN "eventually". No word on price, but I'd guess 1200 points, and worth every penny. Haven't tried the MP yet, but it looks sharp and is still a good game after all these years.

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Anyone have it for the PC? I can't seem to find the controls for a left or right lean as in the other versions.

I also really enjoyed WAW for the tanks, flame throwers and mortars.

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

My biggest problem with multiplayer is that it seems like everyone on there has been playing for the last 36 hours straight. Level 56??? Already?? Really??

I need to play against some other non-newbs-but-also-non-hardcore players. I can't keep up like I used to. I think I just haven't found the best weapon for me yet.

As for the "No Russian" mission,
Spoiler:
I didn't shoot any civilians, but only the police that were in my way. Unfortunately, I knew exactly what was going to happen at the end of the mission, so its impact wasn't as big for me

Im digging the new last kill cam. Quite embarrasing if you're the last one killed, but quite epic when you are the one that got the last kill
LOL.

Yeah, I got one of those last night and it was a knife kill.

Re: Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I had an embarrassing "last kill cam" last night, and my team won! I shot at a guy and he went down and the game ended. Turns out a teammate BEHIND me was the one who brought him down. So in the kill cam there was I was, flailing around like an idiot.
