I'm now at the point where I'm picking up the third hero and the game told me to get any unfinished business taken care of. So, I'm finishing up other quests and getting the big items paid for and trying to get my gambling maxed out. Anything else I should be aware of before I start the endgame process?

I'm going for the Dollcatcher achievement and I already have the Hammer and Hero dolls. If you have any of the four others, please let me know for tradings. Once one of us has them all, we can just buy a gift or trade them around to get everyone the achievement.

You shouldn't worry about unfinished business before "endgame." The game will continue after you beat main character (Lucian).

So apparently they're giving out the LE code (for the Master Chief outfit and other bonuses) online because of their screw up (with some LEs not having the code in the box). While that's great for most people, that shows what a sucker I am for getting the LE.

Much like the first game, I feel like I'm way too dependent on melee fighting. Because there's not really any armor, you have to invest points to get more HP. You also have to invest points in the gun stats, at least to get the roll ability and the ability to aim shots (otherwise I don't think you can get the gargoyles). Will is, once again, my least used weapon... I'm sure the higher spell levels are cool, but melee just seems so much easier. Can you really create a good ranged or will-centered hero?

Also, it seems way too easy to spam the same expressions in a rotation to get popularity, then spam the trophy expression to get renown...

My hero is range based, with will as backup. I hardly ever use my sword. I use strength potions to improve my Toughness.

When enemies mob you, do you just keep backing up and firing at them? Or do you use some will power to keep them occupied (the time one, or the raise the dead one?)

I use force push only. Anybody who survives, gets a shotgun shell in their ass.

I use Raise the Dead, Time and have Blades as my offensive weapon. The bastards get distracted by the dead so I have time to pick them off with my rifle and I'll hit Time Slow to back up and get to a good spot for more shooting.

I've got the time control as level one will and use that with roll to find myself a spot to bust out the level 5 vortex. Walk into a crowd of enemies, stop time, roll to a free area, hold B to level 5 and watch them all die in a swirling vortex of death. That's how I start just about every fight.

Question for anyone who's finished the game.

Spoiler:
I just finished the Crucible and it looks like my next mission is to go to the Spire. I was told I wouldn't be coming back. Is this really the end of the game? Seems way too short.

No, it's not end of the game. You still have lot to do after Spire.

That's good to hear. I've been enjoying it too much for it to end this quick. About how far into the story am I at that part?

I'd say you're about 3/4 way to go. But if you finished the main story line, the game will continue - you can catch up with some stuffs that you haven't finished. There's few more side story missions you need to do after Spire.

I use time control lvl 3 by the time I get attacked I unleash a lvl 5 area inferno that pretty much destroys everyone. Also blades lvl 4 for single enemies.

I beat the game today and trying to polish some achievements before bringing back to gamestop for ~$40 credit towards GoW 2.

Where can you get the code at?

It wouldn't work on Hobbe on stilt. When I released inferno/lightning on group of Hobbes and it would use "it wouldn't work on me" expression. Bastard!

I just ran into quite the glitch. I'll spoilerize it for people who aren't that far into the game.
Spoiler:
I had an assassination mission to kill Paul the Monk. Never got around to it and the time expired. I just started to do the Oakfield Massacre mission for the temple of shadows and, at the temple of light, I found Paul. Only problem is that he keeps respawning as soon as I kill him. So I can get as much XP as I want but have no way of finishing the mission. I took a picture. That pile of bodies are all Paul.

Edit - And when I quit the mission it reverts to my last save which still has the Massacre accepted. So now I can't finish that mission or go back to select helping the temple of light since this game doesn't allow more than one save and it's not an option on my quest list any more.

I tried that too but he just respawned again. I ended up just going to the Spire without completing the mission. When I got back, I had a new assassination mission and it looks like the temple of shadows wins by default if you don't do either mission before leaving for the spire. So that cleared everything up.

I'm at the point where I finished everything and only one left: Castle Fairfax. Since it cost 1 million FM (Fable money) to buy this property and it's taking too long to reach 1 million (I have 600,000 now). I begin to wonder if it's worthy to suffer all sorts of jobs (pouring beer, chopping, and blacksmith-ing), repeating fight in arena, and pick up Bounty Hunt jobs.

Is it worth to just get 50th Gargoyle and some treasure hidden in Castle Fairfax cave?

I bought Castle Fairfax this morning, there is a follow on quest once it is bought.

Spoiler:
at the end, you get a potion to change your sex.

I also finished off the 50th gargoyle, still working on the 50th silver key. Had I known, and not been such a completionist, I would have skipped the last 20 gargoyles. there is a 50 key chest in Castle Fairfax, no idea what's in there. As for your money woes, I have enough real estate holdings to generate about 8k a tick, I log in each day to about 150k new money. The mansion in Bloodstone has huge money in it once you've bought it. I get about 10k worth every time I go there. Gotta check your furniture.

I have already got all 51 silver keys (yes, 51). Perhaps, I will try to buy that mansion in Bloodstone and hopefully it would build up the money really fast.

Once I'm done with it, I will restart the game as female. I always wanted to be carpet muncher.

I have 48 keys. No dog. I'm doomed. I at least know what regions the remaining keys are located but no idea where in those regions. I think I'll start over. I have 4 lesbian wives, (yes, paid the blackmail) and do the horizontal mambo with every whore I can find. No pregnancies.
