Wipeout Fury expansion is well worth the $9.99. Just purchased it after work, and I love it! This game is too awesome!

Shattered got a great 9.0 review on IGN. It's $7.99, and I don't know if that's an introductory price (like Monsters was originally) or whether that's MSRP.

For those bemoaning XBLA getting MvC2 a few weeks before PSN, I'd like to point out that part 2 of Watchmen End is Nigh will be coming to PSN next Thursday and not to XBLA until after the Summer of the Arcade is done at the end of August. The two PS3 Watchmen games and the Blu Ray movie are currently available together in stores.
Ehhh I'd take MvC2 over the Watchmen packs, but that's me. Tho neither seems like that big of a deal.

Shatter looks interesting but I love me some Arkanoid.

I've only played the first couple of levels after buying on sale, but I addressed the blocks by selling and replacing the blocks when they started smoking/burning. You also have to really arm up around the blocks to protect them. There's probably a better way, but it's worked for me so far.

Fat Princess: Worth the Weight (Here’s the Date)

" Without further ado, we’re proud to announce that Fat Princess will make her royal appearance on the PlayStation Network this Thursday, July 30th for $14.99.

Fat Princess will be released simultaneously worldwide in N. America, Europe and Asia. A Japan release is also in the works, and we’ll have more information on that in weeks to come."

And if Trine actually sticks to it's promised "July" release date, that's going to be an expensive Thursday.

Which is OK, I haven't bought anything from PSN in a long while.

Shatter's awesome, especially for the price. But I too really want an HD Arkanoid game.

I bought Shatter and it's much better than the Arkanoid demo on XBLA. It's also a couple of bucks cheaper. And to only give you half the game with your purchase and require separate paid DLC for the full game is pretty disgusting in my book. Bottom line : stick with Shatter.

Shatter is very cool. Sort of Geometry Wars meets Arkanoid.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

My favorite exclusives:
1: Flower - hard to describe beautiful exploring game
2: WipEout HD - pricey but amazing futuristic racer
3: PixlJunk Monsters - Wonderful, charming tower defense game
4: Zen Pinball - very nice pinball game with four tables
5: PixlJunk Eden - pretty "organic platformer"

Of course, multiplatform SSF II HD Turbo is great as a fighting game.

And Warhawk is like a full game online shooter, but it's more expensive.

Do we know if there will be one?

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I was in the beta and had a blast. It wore off a little because there was only one map open (out of 8), and you can only play one map so much. But the game was awesome and a lot of fun.
