I'm not one of those people that usually 100% a game, but I did with Batman. Most games it becomes incredibly tedious trying to complete all the requirements, but I found the Riddler challenges and Challenge Rooms to be very fun.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I was playing this until I got sidetracked with Red Dead Redemption. I have 46% completed but this is the only game that I started playing on Easy and with about 37% completed, I decided to restart on Hard.

The first time I had to fight the immates as soon as the Joker escapes took me a bunch of tries and it was very frustrating. I wondered if I made a mistake doing this but after I beat them, it has been smooth sailing for the most part from that point on. Actually, I enjoy the combo setting and the way is set up on this game.

Yeah, I was a one and done kind of guy. It's a game I might possibly play again, before the sequel comes out, but even at just one play through it was an awesome experience. Well worth the money I paid.

I think the Riddler challenges were neat, as was finding the tapes and such, but once I beat the game I didn't feel any desire to go back and find them all. Especially since I could listen to the tapes on youtube.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Goddamn I am in love with this game. Im pretty sure Im near the end and want to beat it tonight before I go out of town tomorrow. All I need is 10 riddler challenges and the only thing stopping me from getting them are Ivy's stupid overgrown plants

Going for the platinum will be tough. I got my 40+ combo trophy and I thought that would be the hardest. Im sure itll be having to get all those medals in the challenges though.

This game is a keeper for me. I dont think Ill go through all the hoops and back tracking next time though.

I finished the game yesterday and I enjoyed it tremendously. The
Spoiler:
Titan/henchmen battle right before the Joker was the one that gave me the most trouble. The fight with Ivy and Joker wasn't too hard IMHO.

I know how you feel. I think I have 81% completion since I need to go back for the riddles, riddler's trophies, interviews tapes and even some Joker's teeths. I still don't know how I'm missed those teeths because everytime I seen them, I destroyed them. Hopefully I can still find them because I want to get a platinum for this game. The only trophies that I need are in regard to the Challenges, Riddler's and the Free Flow Perfection (using Batman's entire moves).

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I finally was able to get the Freeflow Perfection trophy this afternoon. The only trophies left are the Riddler 85%, 100% and the Challenges. Those challenges are going to be a bitch to complete...

Watch the videos on youtube for completing the challenges. Gives you a good idea of what needs to be done to beat them.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Yea I was able to beat the game that night. I found EVERYTHING before fighiting the Joker and got all the tropies (Im proud to say all the in game trophies were a suprise, I didnt look at the list at risk of being spoiled to see what I had to do) All I need are the Challenge room trophies and to beat the game on hard.

Great game! I should have done it on hard as it wasnt difficult at all. Plus, the soundtrack is just amazing! It had a great batman feel. THe end credits were even some of the best ever.

That was the best decision I made in giving up my save on Easy and restarting the game on Hard. As much as I enjoyed the game, I wouldn't want to restart the game again.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I started on Hard and outside of the juiced up freak Bane-like battles it wasn't too bad. I can only think of one non-boss area that took me some time to beat.

Fuck the challenges. I gave some of those a spin and I just don't have that "combo fighter" in my brain. I can do well enough to make it through the game, but going for a high score? Terrible.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Shit.... whoever designed that goddamn shock and awe extreme challenge needs an electric baton up the ass! Has this been discussed in the thread? I beat it lat night but holy fuck it took forever to get the high 30,000 score/3 batman symbols. ALL the others I got after the second try or so.

Im glad I can still go for the platinum though, at least theres no online shit.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I found all of the riddles. Now, I have two combat challenges left (Shock and Awe Extreme and Rumble in the Jungle Extreme) and 5 predator challenges in order to get 100%.

It took me freaking forever and countless of tries but I finally 3 bat both Combat Challenges. It took me longer to complete "RitJ Extreme" than "S&A Extreme". All I got left are the Predator challenges for the Platinum.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I finally finished this at normal 84% I would love to complete some of the challenges but I am just not that good at combat. I thought maybe I would go back and try hard but not sure I want to go through it again.

A little off topic but, this game has really rekindled my interest in Batman. I would like to read some of the graphic novels. Is there a certain order I should go in?

Nah, there isn't a real order. Frank Miller's Year One is a good starting point, since it's the beginning of Batman's career, but from there you can read about anything.

RitJ Extreme was a cake walk for me. It was that fucking timer in S&A that kept getting me.

Report back on that silent knight extreme if you go for the 3 bats

Yeah, I got two Predator challenges left, Record Breaker Extreme and Silent Knight Extreme. Just by looking at the Youtube video, I can see that SKE will be the challenging one.

There's no way I could have passed some of the Predator Extreme challenges without Youtube. I'm not that good at videogames however, this is the only game that made me go out and try to obtain all of the trophies.

I had no problem with the predator challenges, but I still have to go and tackle the Combat challenges. They just got on my nerves.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Has anyone got something called "CORRUPT SAVE" on this game?

I was 30% in and got that the next time I loaded the game. It wouldn't let me continue so I had to start from scratch.
