Yup. Not sure why he's doing a different take on it from the show.

Yes, it's Mark Hamill. This has been confirmed many times over.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

In this thread, no less.

Regarding the sneak aspect. It might not be the best gameplay device, but it makes total sense in the narrative that we're seeing here. I actually expected it based off the first trailer a few weeks ago. There was a shot of him crouch-walking behind a half-height wall.

It's Batman, not Rambo. Isn't that sort of his M.O. anyway?

That is badass!

When is this game coming out again? Cos this and Uncharted: Among Thieves are my two most wanted games.

It's obviously Mark Hamill doing the voice. Like I said, he's basically channeling his Jordan Price character from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker but he's doing it with the dark edginess they had him portray the Joker in that feature.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

i'm a huge Batman:TAS fan and pretty much every cartoon after it involving Batman. I would not say it is obvious that Hamill is doing the voice.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

http://www.destructoid.com/batman-ar...g-124719.phtml

Hot on the heels of Warner Bros. Interactive revealing the official art for Batman: Arkham Asylum comes word of a $99.99 collector's edition being listed by speciality-retailer GameStop.

The pricey package includes a copy of the game, a 12" Batarang, a DC Encyclopedia, "DLC Pack 1," and a bonus DVD that contains a behind-the-scenes feature and the game's soundtrack. The GameStop doesn't list what the DLC pack contains, but our money's on it being additional "challenge rooms" that can be accessed and played outside of the main game.

But a Batarang, man. A 12" one at that. It's almost like it's calling to us. But we're not so sure about the one-hundred-dollar price point; we'll have to wait to see the quality of the overall package. Sometimes, though, we just want to play the game.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Only a $40 premium. I'd wait to see the details of the 12" Batarang before passing judgment. The DLC Pack 1 is likely to be at least a $5 value too. DC Encylopedia might be impressive

Lot of unknowns to scoff just yet.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I'd be more irritated at paid DLC being available day and date of the game release. That is obviously crap that should have been on the disc in the first place.

What?! Games are overpriced as it is at $59.99.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Regardless, this content is a $40 premium whether the base package is $0 or $1,000,000.

I'm not defending it, just passing on the info. And saying that it's a little early to dismiss it without full details. Good thing it is optional...

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Yeah, it only $40, but the first impression is that you are paying $100 for the game... then again I paid $120 for the Survival Edition of Fallout 3.

Yeah, I'm still not a big fan of DLC. Especially when it comes out not all that long after a game is released.

I love me some Batman, but the regular version will be fine. I have no love for chotchkies anymore.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Isn't the RE5 Collector's Edition just as pricey? Will this be the new price for collector's editions of games? Or worse, will it keep going higher?

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

You have to consider that most of the times it's $70 for a CE that's just a special case design and dvd with interviews and documentaries, maybe a little booklet.

So, are a 12" Batarang, a DC Encyclopedia and "DLC Pack 1" worth $30?
I don't know right now.

Wasn't there like a $150+ Halo 3 edition?

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Halo 3 Legendary edition was originally $130. It's the one that included the helmet.

So I guess the Batarang is not as cool as Master Chief's helmet.

But yeah, there have been more expensive CE games: Halo 3, Gears of War 2 (the one with the Lancer), Fallout 3 Survival Edition, etc.

Right now I'm the camp that the Batarang is not as cool as the other toys.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

That's right. I forgot that Halo came with a "cat hat". I've been meaning to pick up Halo 3 as I recently picked up a 360.

Back on topic. I'm a pretty big Batman fan, so i might be in for the collector's edition once we see the quality of the extras.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

That trailer is pushing this title closer to a day one purchase for me. It would be neat if it had a bunch of sections like that since it seemed similar to the terrorist hunts in Rainbow Six: Vegas.

It will be a single player only game won't it?
