Are the first two fallout games going to be included with the collectors editions of Fallout 3? That would be a great deal. Kinda like doom 3s collectors edition.

Nope. I bet there's probably publishing and rights issues with Interplay.

Fall Out 3

Are any stores breaking street date? I've had no luck in Indianapolis.

To be fair, according to the thread title, that other Fallout 3 thread is about "exploding teddy bears".

I saw one of the collectors editions delivered into our store yesterday. I really wish I had ordered it now. It comes in a tin lunchbox, and has a bobblehead and some other goodies.

Same here, I ordered the LE from Amazon and will be playing it Tuesday afternoon. I have Tuesday and Wednesday off, so it's all good

I went with the normal version for PC from Amazon. I figure that way i can play it both on my work laptop and my PC at home. Although now I wonder if i should have just got it off Steam.

I am a sucker for achievements, so I chose the 360 version.

ASide from achievments, are there any differences between the two versions? Which one will have the better graphics and sound? Will there be exclusive content for the 360?

I preordered the regular edition from Amazon, namely because I had a $50 GC from my CC rewards points, so it's only costing me $10. I've been playing Oblivion all weekend in anticipation.

Last I heard, the PC version was going to have Live achievements. I'm probably going to get the PC version off Steam.

Early reports say the PS3 looks far worse then both the PC and 360. The PC will look better if you have a computer that can run it all high details over the 360.

I've reached the point in my life where I've decided increased performance isn't worth dealing with updating drivers and tweaking configuration files, so whenever I have a choice between playing a game on my PC and playing a game on my 360, I pick the 360.

There will be exclusive downloadable content for the 360, not available for the PS3.

In most other cases I'd go 360, but the Fallout series just screams PC for me, especially with a switch to a mostly first person view. I still avoid FPS on a console if I can avoid it, like the Orange Box. Of course, i'm an IT guy anyway and have always liked tweaking my PC, so that's never an issue for me

Here's the article that says "Fallout 3 looks rubbish on the PS3".

Re-read the article. They said that the graphics are slightly worse and not "rubbish".

For me that will never work since when I play games I like to watch tv also. I find I get bored that much quicker playing on the 360 since I don't get sucked into games.

At the same time I have never tweaked configuration files or done anything short of downloading updates once and a while. I guess I must just be extremely lucky because on my multiple computers I have never had an issue playing any game ever.

Well, it might be hyperbole, but "rubbish" is in the freaking title of that article, so that's exactly what it "says".

Well, that's a little disappointing to read. Not a big deal to me, since I own both systems but I was wanting to buy this for the PS3 since my 360 is so damn loud and since there's no online componant to this game. Oh well, glad I didn't make the purchase yet.
