anyone doing the Strictly Business side quest?

Spoiler:

I'm trying to collar Flak in Rivet city. I do it when there is no one around but the entire city still goes aggro on me afterwards.
How do you avoid this?

I've got the same issue. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I finished it a while ago (the "good" ending)--like about 50 played hours ago. Then I decided to get all the bobbleheads and hit all the quests I missed (tenpenny, oasis, bigtown, Agatha, etc). Now I'm done and had enough, so I went to Megaton and killed everyone, which took me from Last Best Hope of Humanity to Scourge of Humanity all by itself (but I still went and wiped out Oasis and everyone at Lincoln Monument just for good measure). I was going to go get the "bad" ending but I think I'm done.

Good game, a few weird glitches (Nathan was gone really early in the game so I didn't see him later on and his wife would never talk to me, and a few other small issues) but nothing that made me unable to finish quests luckily.

Wow just decided to give this game a rental last night after seeing some commercials and reading up on it. Great game, I dug Oblivion but never got around to buying it so the format is right up my alley, and I like the setting more than the fantasy type world of Oblivion. Never played the two previous games before but I'm already really into this after only a few hours of playing. Great game so far.

Yeah, I'd never play Oblivion. I'm just not into fantasy type games. And really not that much into RPGs, but I just love post apocalyptical games. And I'm really enjoying Fallout, more than 40 hours later and level 12.

Here's the announced DLC (exclusive to 360, and I think PC):

Operation: Anchorage:
Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders.
An action-packed battle scheduled for release in January.

The Pitt:
Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. Choose your side.
Scheduled for release in February.

Broken Steel:
Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest.
Scheduled for release in March.
I'm stoked that some of these seem to take place in new areas instead of the existing game-world.

I assume Left Trigger, which is probably the same as the right mouse button on the PC version, but I'm not positive about that.

I'm curious about the battle with the Chinese.

Sorry, I did indeed mean left trigger, i forget not everybody is not on the 360.

Played for several more hours last night, and got nowhere. I was wandering across the wasteland on a quest, and stopped to search a fort I ran across. I feel obligated to search every room looking for books or bobbleheads.

I also found my first telsa armor, and I am rocking that now with the energy weapons. Since I still haven't found more .44 ammo, and the hunting rifle really doesn't pack much of a punch.

I am level 16, 33+ hours played, and have barely scratched the surface of the main quest.

I've got Charon using A3-21's Plasma Rifle & Tesla Armor and Star Paladin Cross using T-51b Power Armor and Vengeance following me around. They mow down everything pretty effectively without me needing to do anything. Dogmeat died though.

They are releasing the mod tool next month. They call it GECK. So we should be getting some nice mods that will fix everything that is broken or add new stuff just like Oblivion.

Not on consoles.

Of course, I haven't run into anything really broken so I can't complain too much.

So, I think I am getting to the end of the main quest, and I have a question:

Spoiler:

I am in the vault finding the GECK, and I read that I get
Spoiler:
kidnapped
at the end of the mission.

Spoiler:

This begins the final mission, according to the guide, although I didn't read the section to not get spoiled.

Do I get back into the wasteland? I want to continue some more sides before finishing the main, as the game ends there.

EDIT: Spoilerd just in case
Spoiler:

I made it out, and now I am supposed to go to the Citadel. Will this next mission wait for me, or is there something I need to do RIGHT NOW? I am just worried that I accidentally finish the game before I want to.

huh? Bad "ending" (singular?) Isn't this game supposed to have 200 endings?

When you finish, do they go through all the places you visited and tell you what happened to them after your involvement like Fallouts 1 & 2 did?

No, I believe there are only 5-6 endings.

I finally picked this up. Having fun so far, except for VATS. Use all your APs then run around getting shot at waiting for them to recharge is a dumb system. I wish they had included a turn-based combat option- I don't play FPSs for a reason.

I believe there may be 200 variations of a few endings. Like if you did 'a', not 'b', or 'b' not 'a' or both 'a' and 'b'.

Unfortunately no. I got something generic like "he succumbed to the temptations of the wastes."

It was a very disappointing ending after an awesome game.

VATS is part of the reason the game is so fun. If I am using a hunting rifle and I fire a few times, I take cover while I "recharge" my AP.
