It is in the hard copy ad we got in our junk ad circular a day or two ago (in Chicago). $29.99, lists Xbox 360 only under it.

Here it is:

I won a free map pack code from Kotaku today...woot!

I missed the last double XP weekend, so hopefully I can find some time to play this weekend.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

The new zombie map is killer - but very hard!

The new multi-player maps are...more of the same, I guess. Some feel very, very large. I was playing on hardcore, and I was just getting sniped left and right. Lots of campers.

Are the new maps free? If not (and assuming not) how much do they cost?

Before the Playstation store went down last night, I saw $9.99.

The maps aren't free, they're $10 (800 points).

It is 800 point on Live.

Played each map a few times last night. Really liked the Knee Deep one. It is VERY large but lots of levels and cover. The Station one was alright but seemed to have too many long narrow lines so felt a bit small. Nightfire is a sniper paradise. Cheap bastards!

Knee Deep is easily my favorite. Nightfire got too easy when I used the Camouflage perk and a silencer/flash hider. People were just standing out in the open.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

I hate to admit it but I'm probably one of very few out there that doesn't have the game. I do have the previous one by all accounts was really amazing. But I held off on this due to other games and the first impressions were a mixed bag. It was brought up during some on line play if some of us had the game and I had to fess up...no.

Bottom line is it too late to jump in on this considering how long it has been out and I'm sure many have gone thru the normal part? And for those that had the previous COD how does the one overall feel of that one compare to this one? Thanks for the input.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Bought this game just after Christmas and have loved it. So its not too late at all to get it as there are tons of people who still play it online.

If anyone cares to play together I am George Hitmen or George_hitmen I forget.

It's not too late. Just went online and there were 235,000 players (on the 360). I think the online will be steady until COD6 comes out around Christmas.

If you like COD4, you're going to like COD5. It's basically a WWII mod of COD4.

What BigDave said.

I love both games....and to me, they are the same except for weapon and map differences.

I am an elite player in both (TDM), but WaW's only two faults are the spawning issues (not often, but there) and the tanks can somewhat ruin a game at times. COD 4 had zero flaws to me.

COD 4 was pretty flawless. WAW is a still almost as fun, the maps arent as good and spawning issues can be a pain but its great, I really love the Zombie mode online, I actually like it more then Left for Dead.

Disagree on the maps....I think they are actually a little more varied on WaW then MW.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

In need of a little help...

I'm more than a little late to the party and just recently picked up this game. A buddy and I have been having a blast battling waves of zombies, but have thus far been unable to both join the same 4-player online game. I can invite him online to a 2-player game just fine, but when we're in the same lobby and click "find a match," it disconnects him from the party. Same thing happens to me when he's the host. What exactly am I doing wrong? Or is it impossible to find another 2 random people to join us?

Have you checked your NAT settings? Sounds like one of you might be set to strict or moderate.
