I took advantage of the DBL XP to prestige again. Managed to get my camouflage and bouncing betties back which was all I was worried about since I'm one of those assholes that likes to snipe camp.

camo and betties are my two favorite things to use in the game with a silenced mp40. i just love walking around in a map without being detected on small maps. the double xp was nice for the weekend. i'll be closer to 65 by the time it's wednesday if the midnight club dlc ever comes out. i guess infinity ward wanted more people to play the games considering halo3 took the top ranking xbox live game for the past 2 weeks.

hey devilshalo, you said it takes 1 strategically placed satchel to take down a tank or at most 2 with a tank grenade. the best i can do is 4 by taking out the tank "wheels". where do you have to put down the satchel to take it down in 1 life?

Throw it in the roadway in front of the tank and set it off when it runs it over. I try to blind side the tanks sometimes and will throw one in front and behind. The sticky is insurance.

x\ooo/x

x = satchel

All of this was in Hardcore tho.. I haven't played regular TDM to try this on tanks.

thanks. i was thinking that the tanks were weakened or something on hardcore. on core matches. i takes at least 2 lives (4 satchels or 4 rockets) to take down a tank. that's why i always vote to skip a map with tanks. even though i like riding inside of them, i hate being an enemy outside of one.

oh, and your picture was great

No problem - that issue has plagued a good number of my friends. I ended up struggling with it so much with an older router i just threw the thing out and bought a new router that i knew would give me a nice open NAT.

I think they may have made the tanks stronger in TDM, because before the last update/patch (during that period where you needed to rank up to 18 in order to play any HC matches), they were pretty easy to take out using the bazooka, stickies & satchels.

I got pretty good at running behind them and throwing a satchel over their head to land in front, so they'd run them over. I noticed that sometimes you could take out a tank when I'd throw a satchel down and a team tank would shoot the satchel as an enemy tank started to run it over.

Satchels on the shell of the tanks never seem to do any damage. Learned the hard way many times.

New Map Pack Coming for World at War
Published April 30, 2009

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 continues to expand the addictive COD multiplayer experience with four exciting new maps. Battle to control the river bridge in Banzai, a bright jungle map featuring a waterfall and hidden caves. In Corrosion, face down your enemy in a shattered train yard, and in Sub Pens wipe the monsoon rain from your eyes as you struggle over a bombed-out submarine base. The Zombies return in Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp) featuring Perk machines, the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2, new Achievements and flaming Hell Hounds.

Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp): Keep moving to survive the unending Zombie horde in Shi No Numa, the all new addition to the four player co-op fan favorite. Japanese Zombies rise from the misty swamps and flaming Hell Hounds blaze through the jungle as players struggle to find Perk machines and the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2 to stay alive. This new map includes 10 new Achievements.

Banzai: Deep in the jungles of Japanese controlled territory, battle to control the tall river bridge in Banzai a bright, medium sized jungle map featuring a waterfall, villages and hidden caves well suited for deadly snipers, surprise attacks, and all-out gun battles.

Corrosion: In Corrosion, face down your enemy in a deteriorated Russian train yard. Sprint under, over and through the shattered pipelines and war-torn train cars in this mid sized map great for full out team combat. Keep your head on a swivel as your enemy could be above or below you!

Sub Pens: This close-quarter bombed-out Japanese submarine base is littered with live ammunition, breached subs, and idle fighter planes. Wipe the monsoon rains from your eyes and struggle to control key choke points in this tight map designed for exciting and deadly battles.

I wish I could delete Seelow from my playlists. That map infuriates me.

Make sure you delete Makin day. That is the map that is affecting xbox live issues. Once I deleted that, it really helped.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

I'm so stoked for the zombie map, plus the multiplayer maps. If anyone ever wants to play multiplayer...my gamertag is moopherkiller. Trust me, we'll have a lot of fun, I can tear this game apart.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

I'm probably one of those few out there that don't have COD:WaW. I did play the demo which I thought was actually pretty good but after playing COD2 in Veteran I was burned out with WWII shooters. However we played the demo again in coop an it was pretty fun. Is anyone playing this in 4-player coop because if so this may be a buy after all but behind Red Faction and Ghostbusters.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Now that it has hit the $35 price point, I am going to buy this. Have both the PS3 and 360. I think I'd prefer to get it on the PS3, but does the PS3 version have the same "DOWNLOADING GAME SETTINGS" problems like COD4:MW does?

Think I'm going to pass on Map Pack 2. It's been 2 months since I last played COD and I don't think I have any more desire to play it

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Well due to peer pressure I bought the last pack and will be getting this one just for the damn zombie map. $10 for one map. Gotta love it.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Probably not going to get the new map pack, but Double XP all weekend until Tuesday 10:00 am PST for 360 and PS3. Very long time for Double XP. I'm still at 49 so hopefully I can bump up quickly.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

I'm holding off on this map pack. I played the last map pack a little bit, but then just kind of stopped.

They really need to release these map packs more frequently and sooner after the game comes out.
