I think Galaga Legions is going to get more playtime out of me than all the recent XBLA games combined.

I love how crunchy and visceral they made it.

Just looked at my global GW2-Sequence ranking and noticed who was 5 spots above me world-wide.

Pre-order Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and get a code for the original Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA. Source. Only valid at "participating retailers." Still not a bad deal considering the game is only $40 SRP.

I have mine on preorder at Newegg for about $38. I doubt they'll get the code though, so I may have to cancel it.

Woot! Now how do I find out who is a participating retailer?

Who knows. Kind of a lame announcement when you don't know where to pre-order it. November isn't exactly around the corner. They could have held the announcement a few weeks until the details were worked out so they could provide more information on the deal.

Confirmed. Pixy is the #1 player worldwide in BC:Rearmed. Wow. That's pretty cool in the geekiest way I can imagine.

And guess who put in a score of over 81 million in my 2nd game of sequence of the night? That's right, me.

Per OXM : "The Arcade rebirth brings a wealth of new features to the table, including eight-player online oc-op and Dukematch, recordable and uploadable user gameplay clips, Vision-camera support for multiplayer lobbies and - get this- Tivo. Yes, when you die, you can rewind as far back in the level as you like, be it five seconds or five minutes. No need to save your game anymore!"

And for my monthly OXM XBLA review round-up :

Braid : 9.0
Good: Challenging fulfilling concepts and exceptional puzzles. Bad : Boss battles out of place and some puzzles need to be reset.

Castle Crashers : 8.5
Good : Exciting 4 player coop in beautiful funky world Bad : Repetitive combat and poorly balanced solo difficulty

Geometry Wars Evolved 2 : 9.0
Good : New modes are unique, fun in solo and multiplayer. Awesome visuals. Bad: No online play.

Zombie Wranglers : 6.0
Good : 4 player vs and coop. Good graphical style -comedy and zombies. Bad :Gameplay, environment get repetitive fast.

Bionic Commando Rearmed : 7.0
Good : Swing mechanic is still unique, Gorgeous look Bad : Too difficult, anything less than perfect = death

Age of Booty : 8.0
Good : Simple, addictive real-time strategy with a great theme. Robust local and online multiplayer. Bad : Ally AI can be irritating.

I played the Galaga demo before I left for work. Got to level 4 of adventure mode before it faded out (5 minutes?). Didn't really struggle at all with it and wonder if it goes beyond 5 levels (as the achievements max out there).

Not sure if this will have the replayability of Pac-Man:CE, but I have only got a small taste. I did like it, but I'm a Galaga freak.

Nice Sequence score L&O . That's an awsome gametype, I plan on playing it more soon.

Loving me some Galaga Legions so far. Very challenging to say the least and while I believe there are only 5 areas the demo is only Area 1 and within the Area is about 5 levels. So basically the demo if one is able to clear it would just be the 1st achievement of cleared Area 1. So far only have gotten 2 achievements of Clear Area 1 and then beat a level without deploying satellites. Was very close to the clear an area without dying but alas did not. While I think I would say I enjoy Pac Man C.E. more this is definitely a lot of fun and will not be as easy to get all the achievements but then again Pac Man has always been easy for me

I tried Galaga for just a moment this morning. It's pretty cool. The satellites are a cool feature that really mixes up the gameplay, or rather will once I figure out how to configure them correctly. Lots of stuff on screen at once; I kept losing track of my ship. Still, nice game overall and seems like a winner to me in my brief experience.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened but I didn't die until at least the 10th or 11th frame. And then that was only once for another few levels. I think when I started the last line of levels I had 5 lives still, ensuring I'd get the Game Over achievement. I was watching the "next up" scores and before I knew it, Pixy was there challenging me. I think I could've beat him, but I panicked once I reached 80 million and still had 2 levels to go. Then I shit the bed. And in true nerd fashion, I ran to the computer to post - but the forum was down.

Yeah, it'll take some practice to get those patterns down - at least they give you some warning as to how they're going to approach.

For the Bionic Commando Rearmed fans out there, the soundtrack is available on iTunes and via www.sumthingdigital.com. I picked it up today and it's fantastic. One of the best video game soundtracks in recent memory IMO.
