Went to Best Buy at lunch. No display and no signs of the game existing at all. I finally asked an employee and he said they were keeping all copies behind the counter
He asked me which system and had me to go to the register while he fetched me a copy.

Strolled into Target around 9 and the guy at Electronics had a bunch of both versions at the counter. Quick and easy. But like others, I won't get to play until I get home around 7

I suggest you guys turn on the subtitles. Alot of the time they will say stuff in their own language and if you have them turned on it will tell you what they said. Alot of the times its pretty funny swear words.

Stab attack at Grand Theft queue
A man was stabbed in front of a queue of people waiting to buy the latest edition of a computer game.
Up to 100 people witnessed the knife attack outside the Gamestation store in Croydon, ahead of Monday's midnight release of Grand Theft Auto IV.
Police said the 23-year-old victim was walking past the queue when he was stabbed several times by a hooded man who appeared to be waiting in line.
The victim was treated in hospital and has since been allowed home.
After the attack at about 2300 BST in George Street the victim did not call the emergency services but police were informed by a member of the public.
He was found not far from the store and taken to hospital where he was treated for several stab wounds.
'Many' witnesses
Det Insp Liz Baker urged anyone who was in the queue to contact them.
She said: "We are looking at CCTV from the area and believe there were in the region of 50 to 100 people in the queue.
"We are sure many of them will have seen what happened."
The suspect is described as being a light skinned black man aged about 21, 6ft 5ins tall, of medium build wearing a light grey hooded top.
Grand Theft Auto IV went on sale at midnight at selected shops in the UK.
It was expected to break records for the fastest-selling game of all time .

Actually didn't really take it as an insult, sorry it was worded that way. I just remember thinking to myself that usually this shit really really gets under my skin, but it was just amusing last night.

Still, I have a 60GB PS3, so I'll be just a tad pissed if this happens to me.

No freeze for me, I have the latest update from Xbox Live. I probably need to slow down on the single player story. I'm about 15% done with the game with 3.5 hours played in the stats.
Driving is really quite easy if you pick the right car and have a little experience with the other GTA titles. My favorites have been the Red Hummer for sheer car pushing power and a couple of the SUV vehicles. The taxi's and the police cars, to a certain extent, seem too slow & spin out of control quickly when hit.
I'm also digging the little side missions that pop up on the radar occasionally (little green person icon). The two I've tried were a short conversation and a transport mission.

I'm surprised they didn't have the subtitle option turned on as a default option from the start. People like Joe are nearly impossible to understand with the help of subtitles.

Man, this game is gonna take over my life, got it last night at gamestop. There was about 100 people or so in line when I got there at midnight. God, Forgot how annoying high school kids are, bunch of punks. All of them had to peel out in their cars when they left.
All I played last night was MP, cops and crooks is fun as hell.
Wonder how long before theres a news story about this game corrupting kids

Well 5 minutes into the game it already had me on floor laughing...I was walking outside Roman's apartment and accidentally bumped into a guy, he go pissed and came after me. Not wanting any trouble (unarmed and all), I ran away, and came to a cop a block away. I let the guy chasing me hit me, and the cop went after him and started a shootout with like 10 other guys.
One of the guys finally takes the cop down, and he proceeds to walk up to the dead cop and unload about 5 clips into into him from 2 feet away.

GTA IV Runs At 630P on PlayStation 3, So What's That Mean?
Early test reports are finding that Grand Theft Auto IV is only running at 630P on the PlayStation 3—falling short of hi def—while the game runs at 720P on the Xbox 360. Clearly, the PlayStation version must look worse, right? It's not that simple. But the basic explanation is easy enough to understand.
You know 720P (along with 1080P) as "high definition" content. What 720P really means is that 720 lines of resolution are displayed on your television in "progressive" format—meaning all at once.
So if GTA IV is running at only 630P on the PS3, that does mean PS3 gamers are seeing 90 less lines of resolution—or quite a bit from a relative standpoint. And it's fast-approaching the Wii's standard def, 480p output.

While I don't usually have a problem with down-rezzed games (H3), this pretty much clinches me getting the 360 version.
