That's too bad. I was hoping to have it before I go on vacation in August.

Does anyone know if Square plans to release Final Fantasy VII for the DS?

Scriblenauts looks awesome.
I just picked up a Onyx DS system. Got FF Tactics, one of my fav games of all time. Looking to pick up some more RPG, action RPG or action games. Any suggestions from anyone? My next purchase will be The New Super Mario Bros. After that, I'm unsure what I want to get. |
Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing
If you want some more info on Scribblenauts, check out the most recent issue of Nintendo Power. They had a nice long article on it. It honestly looks amazing. Seeing it in action it looks even better.

Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing
Went to BB's B2G1F deal this morning and I don't know if it's the order the games were scanned, but I got the most expensive one free.
Henry Hatsworth: $29.99 Chrono Trigger: $29.99 Dragon Quest V: $0.00 ($39.99 - $39.99) Good luck. They didn't have Knights in the Nightmare or the latest Castlevania, so my 3 was basically picked for me. |
Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing
The cashier had to do a manual override on the freebie, so I'll bet s/he just put in the wrong info for yours and you got lucky. But, don't feel too lucky as you paid $10 more for Chrono Trigger than I did. At my local store it was $19.99. ;)
Bought FFIV, Chrono Trigger and New Super Mario Bros for $70.55 out the door. I'm stoked. |
Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing
Yeah it looks like there was a $10 price drop on Chrono Trigger today. It's $19.99 now, and Amazon is also showing it for that price.

Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing

Wait, why was it so much? FFIV and Chrono are both $20 games now, so shouldn't it be like $50?

Hatsworth is also 20 bucks. Picked up Chrono Trigger, Hatsworth, and Legend of Kage 2 for 40 + tax.

Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing
I settled for Chrono Trigger at Amazon. I haven't really been interested in anything on the DS for a year now, but this should be a nice play through when I take a trip up to Nor Cal this weekend.

Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing
Best Buy also had a much better DS selection than I thought they would. They had SMT: Devil Survivor, for instance.

Re: Official Nintendo DS Thread VIII: 65 Million Strong.. and Growing
Got $20+tax back, no questions asked

Just beat Professor Layton and the Curious Village. What a great and fun game. Are there other installments in the series? Just started up Castlevania:Dawn of Sorrow, looking forward to playing through all 3 CV games.
