they way amazon is doing this, I have not paid more than 49 bucks on any new game for a long time...in fact most are around 44...and a few 34...

amazon just matched wal-mart on Battlefield: Bad Company 2....20 dollar game credit now with preorder...plus it is already cheaper at 56.99....both Ps3 and Xbox...

also, note the 9.5 game informer gave this, saying the single player is now near MW1 and 2 levels of fun....

Re: Amazon Video Game Deal Thread .

you might want to jump on this while it is still 56.99..they may go up in price now that they have a 20 dollar game credit.

Wow. That's pretty sweet. I've been turned off by these uber-serious shooters of late, but I've had high hopes for B:BC2. I'll put in the pre-order with the bonus and hope for the good reviews to keep coming in.

In the meantime, I better start selling some old stuff to pay for March 2nd with this and The Show coming out.

Dooh. Already bought it for PC via Steam during the Holiday sale for $5. It is a beautiful game, what I have played of it so far.

They run out of codes sometimes since they are not unlimited. Just check back in a few hours, they tend to restock fairly quickly.

worst case 10 bucks isn't a lot to spend for it on psn.. It is a great game and totally worth it.

Understandable, but my $20 amazon credit expires next month and there's nothing I'm all that interested in. Maybe Shatter and Trash Panic or PixelJunk Shooter, but based on the other PJ games, a sale is imminent.

So if the game ships on 3/2, when do you get the $20 credit, and when does it expire?

It varies, but for most, the credit shows up in your account about 2 days after the game ships. Some get it the same day, and some it takes 3 days... I think it is good for 60-90 days, but I never wait that long, as I am usually applying it toward the next preorder, which usually has another credit.

A rare 20% off MS Points Deal. This is a 1600 Zune Marketplace card for $15.91, but the points are interchangable for Zune or Xbox Live Marketplaces. A nice bonus is that it effectively turns points into pennies. A 1200 point game becomes $12, an 800 point game is now $8 and the Abbey Road DLC suddenly drops to $13.60. It sure makes the math easier. ;)

Here's the link

COD: Modern Warfare 2 has dropped to from $47.99 to $39.96 (temporarily, I'm guessing). Anyone who grabs it can thank me for ordering it less than a week ago at the old price.

Be aware that you cannot get the DLC for this game any longer. It has been pulled from the Marketplace since 1/1/2010. Most likely due to licensing issues stemming from Disney's acquisition of Marvel. MUA2 has achievements tied to the DLC so, until something changes, it is not possible to attain 100% completion.... if that sort of thing is important to you. Also, I believe, you will not be able to play with someone online who does have the DLC installed since they have access to characters that you do not.

Really? I wonder how that works... does that mean that they are no longer printing the game in the meantime as well?

Ugh...I have had this game since Black Friday when it went for $25, and haven't opened it yet. Hopefully, they just release a patch that would remove the achievements or something. That would be the sensible thing than leave it "unachievable".
