Amazon usually has good deals on random short-term price drops and lightning deals. I'm usually too late, so I thought I'd create a thread to post good Amazon deals so if somebody catches a good price drop it might be able to help everybody else.

For instance... Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is $34.99 on Amazon right now.

Good idea. I posted that COD4 deal in the actual game thread, but then thought people who don't have it yet may not be checking that thread all the time and we should have a thread just like this.

And I'll be the first to add a new one: the Gold box deal right this minute (CST 04/14/08 for 2 more hours) is Dark Sector on 360 for $39.99.

It's nearly 50% claimed already, so hurry!

Crap. That's a good deal on Dark Sector but I'm broke... sell out quickly dammit, I don't have much willpower...

Edit: No More Heroes for Wii is also $33.99.

Nice - finally jumped on Call of Duty 4. The HD DVDs I had in my shopping cart also dropped to $25 for both, so I got those too.

Rats, I was hoping for COD4 on PS3 just because I borrowed it from somebody in that format, and if I buy it on 360 I'd lose my progress. Not that it's the worst thing in the world to start from scratch on..

I believe it was both versions earlier, the PS3 version has sold out through Amazon and is available through their marketplace (hubbagames currently). Keep checking as it might come back in stock before the end of the day.

Yep, just for confirmation it was on both PS3/360 when I originally posted it, I should have made that clearer.

All consoles? What about PC? :(

Ah, sorry about that, PCs just don't come to mind usually for me. I was trying to be all inclusive and managed to do the opposite, I'll see if I can get a Mod to take the (all consoles) off the title.

I didn't know "video games" were played on the PC. :)

Call of Duty 4 is back down to $39.99 on 360 if anybody is still looking for a deal that didn't get in on it yesterday.

The Wii Fanboy blog pointed me to No More Heroes at Amazon for $33.99. I picked it up and it's been a blast so far!

Blue Dragon is $19.99 at Amazon. Again make sure you check the New/Used section.

At first I thought you were talking about used copies, but you're right. Amazon price is cheaper than the default Target price showing on the page.
