There is nothing wrong with that. It just means you ask for proof, not that you refuse to believe. The world would be a better place with more skeptics.

No more booth babes at E3, not for the last couple years, anyways, and definitely none this year.

The Conduit seems to be shaping up very nicely. Here's a developer walkthrough video:

I need help from you guys! I've had my Wii since Thanksgiving 2006, and I've enjoyed a few of its offerings (Wii Sports, Mario Galaxy, Zelda, and RE4). I have a few games downloaded from virtual console as well that I should probably play through. As I've mentioned in a few other threads, I'm heavily considering selling off my Wii, especially after Nintendo's horrible E3 showing.

Are any of you getting much use and enjoyment out of your Wii? If you are, I ask how! I would prefer to keep the damn thing. I feel some sort of weird bond with it due to the ordeal I went through to obtain it.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

ETA: Don't bother suggesting Mario Kart. I had it and sold it.

Although I haven't played it in a few weeks I was enjoying the hell out of Okami and Boom Blox. Two of the best third party games on the system, IMO.

I mainly play Brawl and VC games now.

I sold (goozexed) off a lot of my other games.

Ditto for tennis.

So much they missed out on with this title to keep the core market. You'd think that the pack in game that hooked everyone would have familiar updates and not a complete overhaul.

You honestly see grandma Jetskiing? Sword smashing?
I was fairly surprised at the Wii Sports Resort lineup. When they first announced it I was excited. My first thought was a Volleyball game, which would be a natural evolution of Wii sports tennis with a possible addition of Super Spike V-ball touches. Horseshoes would be a natural evolution of Wii bowling. And ultimate Frisbee would seem like a natural transition from Wii golf. All of these are instantly recognizable to a casual audience, and could be respected by the hardcore audience as well. I have to agree, I'm not sure that Jetskiing and Sword smashing will grab people as instantly as Wii Sports.

.

Wii Fit

I think if you are purely looking at the Wii as a 'gaming' machine, then I think it will tend to get boring. But if you have a significant other, or other family around, that likes to play games, they really love the wii.

For me, the Wii hardly gets any use if I'm playing alone and I stick mostly to the 360 and PS3. If I'm playing with one or more other people, though, it's almost exclusively on the Wii. Boom Blox, RE: The Umbrella Chronicles, Williams' Pinball Hall of Fame, Zelda: Crossbow Training, Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart all offer up a great time for two or more people.

Did you have a gamecube? If not, there are between about 20 and 40 good to great games you have never played you can get on the cheap.

After looking at more screeshots of Resort there seems to be a golf course of some type in the background. Hopefully you can play on it and its not just eyecandy.

Supposedly, there's at least 10 games included in Wii Sports Resort, twice as many as Wii Sports. I imagine we'll see some overlap (Golf and Tennis in particular).

Yeah at least 10 games is what the developer said. I hope frisbee golf is one of them.

Miyamoto explaining why there were no 'core' gamers:

think that there’s probably one other element to it, and that’s that our view of how we use E3 has changed. For a very long time, E3 was an event where — and certainly Nintendo included — catered specifically to the core gamer. Now we look at more … an opportunity for us to introduce new concepts and new types of play that we intend to bring to the broader audience, particularly because of the media that gathers at E3 now.

So while attending an E3 event like this, they might be given the impression that Nintendo is no longer focusing on the games that appeal to the core gamer, in fact we’re still working on many of those titles, but it’s just not the type of event where we’ll be showcasing that anymore.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25710005/

That makes me feel a little more at ease, Basically Nintendo is only going to show for the most part things like voice chat and Wii drums...rather than the next Zelda or Mario.

Escorting survivors never looked so easy.

Because "we" don't have a 360 anymore. And if "we" have a 360 then "we" can enjoy the current DR on the 360.

I ditched my 360 on Jan 5 2008. The only thing that I regret about it is losing DEAD RISING. I'd rather have DEAD RISING on the PS3, but I'll take it for the Wii for now.

Without the hundreds of zombies I don't see the point of playing this one. I guess they could design this one to make it a different experience. Maybe they will at least change the save system for the Wii version.

Hopefully they can improve the amount of zombies for the Wii version, but I am definitely still buying it as that is the one game on the 360 I've always wanted.

I don't know. The 360 one was frustrating as hell with the time limit and save system. I know the Wii version is dropping the time limit and if they also give you multiple saves this could be a fun game. It won't be the same experience as the 360 one, but it could still be good. They will have to find a way though to make the zombie battles fun when you are only fighting a tenth the number of them.
