Are there going to be more announcements thru the week from them? Is that what he was saying as they went off stage?

First off...thanks for the updates during the conference, Flay. Great job.

Second, as a father of 3 kids who constantly want to play "Rock Band" (and since they're 2,2 and 6, they really can't "play"). "WiiMusic" will be awesome for them.

"Wii Sports: Resort" will be cool IF they include 4 remote sensors, and not package 1 with a game and sell the others separately for $10 each.

Snowboarding game might be neat. Same for Raving Rabbids.

But overall, nothing that couldn't have just been introduced with a regular ad campaign.

And seriously, where's the Wii Hard Drive (or whatever)? COME ON!

But then announced no game.

What a F**k.
Maybe that Call of Duty title fills that void?

Hate to break it to you, but Reggie actually said that the game will include 1 Motion+ adapter and "extended sleeve". You'll have to pick up numbers 2-4 separately.

I think you can summarize Nintendo press conference with this smilie:

Maybe we'll get lucky and Nintendo will allow you to mail in for up to 4 free per system like they did with the Remote jackets.

Wishful thinking, but I can dream.
That, or sell them for a nominal price, $5 each would be quite nice.

Glad someone was reading.

A bit more info:
- Wii Sports Resort comes out Spring 2009
- Wii Speak is $29.99. Work with the Wii friends list for chat.

So basically there will be really nothing worth buying for the Wii for at least the next year.

Nintendo can brag about console sales all they want, but when the 360 still has more software sales than Nintendo and the PS3 combined, they look pretty pathetic.

That's where the money is, and I'm honestly stunned at the lack of games worth buying for the Wii, considering it's easier and less costly to develop for than the 360. But there's plenty of shovel-ware - but is it any surprise they're not selling?

Oh my. I was under the impression from the conference that this would be bundled with Animal Crossing.

I was as well. It'll probably be available separately for those of us who hate Animal Crossing.

I'm not sure I'll buy it. Is it really worth the time and effort of entering in long friend codes just so you can call somebody a f-g?

It will be bundled with Animal Crossing. But it also sells for $29.99 seperately if you just want it to chat.

You can just do that when you trash someone else's Animal Crossing town, right? Just spell it out in coconuts or something...

That's a good value for the bundle or a crapy price for the mic.

Yeah, because the 360 has been way more profitable for Microsoft than the Wii has for Nintendo.

So am I understanding that WiiMusic is for more than 4 players at a time?

No, you misunderstand.

There are 6 instruments you can pick from, but only 4 players at a time.

OK, I just thought there were 4 people on stage during the conference, plus somebody on "drums" (WiiFit pad) in the back.

Yeah, there were. But once the game started, it only showed 4 Miis on screen before it went into the actual gameplay where it showed more than 4. It was confusing.

True, as opposed to MS, Nintendo actually makes money on each console sold. But MS definitely makes up for that with so many more games sold.
