Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Yeah the Star Destroyer pissed me off to no end... But then I found the battles against Vader and the Emporer to be fairly easy so I was a little let down, but still had a pretty good time with the game. The DLC looks fun and I will check that out when it comes out.

you have to 'try' to pull the superstardestroyer down about 6 times. pull it for awhile then stop to take care of the ties, then repeat. I noticed sometimes the controls dont show you the best way to move while pulling it. Basically you have to have it point towards you and dip.

I got both endings to the game tonight. I much prefer the dark side ending
It's cool how you can go back thru old levels at your current rank too. I doubt I'd do it, but there were a bunch of holocrons and misc objectives I didn't get. Maybe once the DLC comes about I'll go back thru it all.

I wouldn't buy this game for $60. I say wait until it is $40 or even $30. Lego stars wars is lot better game. Jedi Knight is a lot better game. The pod racing game is about on par with this game.
I hate the camera. It doesn't really work all that well and you do a lot of running and jumping.
The way your force powers locks on to stuff is a pain but I kind of worked around that.
Oddly enough I think the guy is to powerful. He is almost a joke a of a jedi. Even compared to the cartoons he is to powerful.
This game needs some blood. Limbs should be flying off left and right and bodies should stay until you at least load a new area.
There are some more bad things but I'll leave it there. The game is still worth playing if you are star wars fan. I'm not sure if non fans should waste their time. I wonder if people still play jedi knight online. I loved those one on one jedi duels.

I'll be honest I didn't read all nine pages worth of stuff, but I've been trying to find information about this and have come up with nothing. TFU keeps locking up in my X-Box 360. It won't play. I thought it might be the actual game, but I exchanged it and still nothing. Anybody have any ideas? I've had the X-Box for about three months and haven't had any other problems with it. Any help would be appreciated.

It freezes on the ps3 version also but it'll probably only hit you once or twice the entire game on the ps3. It kind of feels like the game was released to early. That type of thing couldn't have been missed by game testers.

I've been playing this through the weekend. I'm up to the part where you have to fight Ozzie something in an AT-ST. The hardest part is all the enemies around the base. Is there any good way to defeat those big green robot troopers? I usually take either throw my saber or shock lightning at them. I usually don't have enough health to finish them all. Any suggestions on how to easily defeat them?

It took me a few tries to figure what to do. You will notice a bunch of stuff you can throw at the start of the mission. So I took out one or two just by throw stuff at them. Then I kind of attacked in sections. The ATST doesn't come out until you pull out a number of pins so hold off on that until you are ready. Taking each side one at a time I just hit them with lightning and chop chop. Run away and repeat until they are dead. Pretty easy if there is only one to deal with at a time.

I have found that Force Lightning is the best way to dispatch them, but it takes quite a bit of it to kill them. The other thing that I found works is the Saber Slam (Jump, then Lightsaber swing while in the air above them).

I finally finished this game. Some of it was so incredibly frustrating. I found the Star Destroyer to be one of the most enjoyable parts of the game. I heard so many bad stories. Once I realized you could use lightning on the TIE Fighter, I beat it on my 2nd try.
Decent game overall. The apprentice was such a wimp. In Soul Calibur he's a major badass -- this game not so much.

The reason why it seems to take a lot of times is because eventually you'll get better at it and take down the TIE fighters very quick but if you're good you can do it pretty quickly.

Finally started this game this week. I did the first couple levels at the Sith Warrior (medium) difficulty and didn't really have a challenge. I also read that the game was easy and short so I started over on the Sith Lord (hard) difficulty. What a difference that has made. Did anyone play through on Hard yet? It's taking me a couple of hours per level, so at this point I've only done the first two levels over and am a little ways into level 3.
I think the game is a blast. Hard is definitely going to prolong the length of the game. I had to get help(google) on the Jedi Council member on Praxus though. Seems like I fought him a dozen times without even scratching the surface of his power meter. I seem to be missing about 3 Holocrons on each level.

I got is used for $22 over the weekend and so far it's enjoyable. I agree with many of the gripes mentioned here and I'm glad I waited; but using the powers and abilities is still cool.

I finished it on the Sith Lord difficulty last night. For how hard certain parts/bosses were in the game, Vader was a pussy by comparison. Took him out in two tries. The emperor went down after only a few tries as well.
I really enjoyed the game and I'll definitely go through one more time for the achievements/alternate ending. I'll probably get the DLC expansion too whenever the price drops. $10 for a 30 minute stage is just wrong on so many levels especially since you don't get to carry over your character stats.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
I finished this Sunday night and then for shits and giggles, I hit "Continue Game" and low and behold, the game started over and I had all my accumulated powers. Cool!
I thought it would just give me the last chapter. Anyway, I love when games allow you to replay with your character powered up and I think it shold be a regular feature in ALL games. So I figure I'll go through an try to get Cubes and Achievements I missed or left behind because they were a pain to get.
But then as I read a Walk through, I noticed I was given a choice between Vader and the Emperor, Light or Dark. Huh? Did I hit a wrong button? When was a given a choice? I then looked at my achievements and apparently I got the Light Side. The WT said one could use "Load Game" to replay the last part to get the other ending.
I'm also down to my last Training Room before I get the Completed Training Room achievement or whatever it's called. But the "Flurry Challenge" is kicking my ass. I can't get the timing right. Every time I start my flurry, my last hit becomes a standard hit and the challenge ends.
