That seems like a pretty shitty thing to do fans of the game. I understand they want to sell more copies, but I hope most people won't rebuy the game for one level and show LucasArts this isn't a good approach. I won't even get the Tatooine mission on its own either, if this is how they are going to offer it.

Shitty indeed. I'll toss it on my Gamefly queue though.

I'll rebuy solely because I just got the game for $15 and haven't bought any of the other DLC yet. I do agree the Hoth level being exclusive is lame, but I suspect a few months from release it will be DLC. Look at the Gamestop exclusive 'X-Men: Origins' content. That was public DLC two months after release.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Extremely shitty, especially if that adds achievements as well and we have no recourse without that retail disc.

Hey, I'm a completion whore. I don't want to tarnish my 90% with something I can't control.

Shitty but it's the way of Lucas. First you get the generic release... then you get the upgraded release, then you get the super-duper release, then you get the super-duper uber release.

I'm miffed @ the double dipping this game is receiving but, I'll just sell my standard version and put that toward the Sith version.

Yup, it sucks. But New DLC, exclusive DLC, and Trophies made me sell my copy on eBay.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

so... what are the chances this thing is made into an actual movie? all you'd have to bring back from the other movies would be Jimmy Smits... you could eliminate the scenes with a young Princess Leia quite easily...

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

HELP! I just bought the 360 version of this game. After an update prompt from the system, the game won't load, and a hard reset brought up the RROD. WTF?!?! Anyone else with this problem?

If it is a true RROD, it's probably just your time. The game in the tray is a hapless by-stander.

Thankfully, no. Amazon is charging about $35 for it. Adding the ECA discount, and trading in my old copy that I got from Goozex makes it a more reasonable buy for me.

Ahhh... that explains it. I finally sat down to do the Jedi Temple mission and noticed a bunch of new achievements that weren't related to it.

Jedi Temple, btw, is okay for $5. Nothing earth shattering. Also the achievements don't stack. There's one each for the four difficulty levels.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

I played the first few levels awhile ago then got too involved with Rock Band. Now with the trophies added, I have plenty incentive to actually finish the game, awesome.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

So the DLC is basically $10 for a 30-minute level with almost no replay value?
What a gyp...
If the regular game was priced like this, it'd be over $150.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Pretty much slop. I haven't bit on the DLC released today, I'll wait for a sale, but the Jedi Temple pack probably took an hour. 30 minutes of that was relearning all the controls. You can watch the entire DLC run on YouTube. That's how short it is.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Game Trailers TV previewed a bunch of new Lucasarts games on the horizon -- including this. The new levels look cool. I pre-ordered on Amazon a month or so back.
