Finally got to play Lost. It sucks and makes me hate tv/movie to video game tie-ins even more.

Yep. I got burned on that one. I was really looking forward to the new Bourne game, but I'll definitely be sitting that one out on release week.

I'm a huge Lost fan so that was my main reason to play it. I look at the points as "Thank you for playing this shitty game heres some easy pts for your sufffering" note from the devs.

I'm in the same ballpark. I was really looking forward to the new Star Wars: The Force Unleashed game. But after playing Lost, i forgot how shitty all of the movie/tv tie in games(a lot of Star Wars ones in there) were and even though Lost was made by a different company. My interest in The Force Unleashed went way down because of this game.

Spider, you literally stand in one place and just keep hitting A for maybe 3 minutes tops and you unlock all 1000 achievement points. You do this doing the combat tutorial at the beginning of the game.

I thought it was hilarious to do and thought it was kind of funny how the developers almost seemed to be admitting their game was going to suck and nobody would want to play it for more than a few minutes.

I ended up putting an hour or so into the title because i thought it was pretty and the anime is at least mildly amusing.

edit: I do still hold out hope for the Force Unleashed. Any canon issues aside i hope to just be able to tear it up a little as a Sith and get some mildly interesting story. Hopefully it will at least give me the action portion of the fun i had playing a Sith Marauder in KOTOR2.

There's been an ample supply around here for about a month, including the

That video...wow...just wow. That's awful.

I think I would honestly feel bad if I played the game just for the quick 1000 points after seeing that video. I figured they were going to be easy...but not that easy.

I think the Lost game is OK for a TV tie in, it's just ridiculously short.
If you are really into the show it's worth a rental IMHO.
The writing and voice acting is a lot better than I expected, and they
did a pretty good job on making the environment feel like the show.

Unfortunately, absolutely ZERO replay value

I concur.

Think of it as a stripped down version of a stripped down point-n-click adventure with some light math puzzles thrown in. A definite rental.

I thought it was worth it just to be able to enter the numbers in the hatch computer.
LOL!

Unfortunately my gf paid full price for the game.

That was really something. I had a hard time believing what I was seeing. Finally, a game I can actually "finish" completely.
Doesn't MS have some sort of standards so that doesn't happen?

Oh and if anyone has this game, can I borrow if for like five minutes?

I think MS set the limit for achievement points (1000 in a retail product, 250 more allowed for DLC and only 200 in an arcade title and a max of 99 achievements per title). Otherwise the developer can do whatever they want with the achievements. Orange box has 99 achievements worth a total of 1000. The early Madden game had like 20 worth 1000 points.

To be fair, this setup on Avatar has garnered it more mindshare than it would have otherwise. It also got me to at least Gamefly the sucker for a couple days.

No i actually did play the game for a few levels. It had a neat art design imo and looked very pretty.

That and i am super slow in finding the time to play rented games.

I wasn't too disappointed in Lost it was pretty much as I expected. The Force Unleashed looks like a freakin amazing game regardless of the Star Wars franchise. And I really hope Ghostbusters doesn't suck.

I think Force Unleashed looks awesome, however, that's not always a good indicator of gameplay/the overall game. I would be happy just getting a sweet 360 update of Jedi Knight, but I hope it's really great, it's been a while since a great Star Wars game.

Stupid technical question:
If my TV is 1080i only, and I download an HD trailer from XBLMarketplace, which is 720p; what do I see on my screen? Or for that matter, playing an HD game that's in 720p?

If your settings are only checked for 1080i then I believe the 360 unit is upscaling to that.
