Sounds like something the Director's Cut might fix.
This was some new info on the Director's Cut, too:
http://community.eidosmontreal.com/b...-Cut-Announced
Also has 8 hours of audio commentary and a 45 minute making of. Yeah, I'm sold

Shame they don't release the director's cut on PC. It might actually get me to finish playing this game.

FYI for PS3 users. Gamestop has this game for 50% off used. Was $8 after tax at my location.
I haven't started it yet, but I couldn't pass it up at that price and thought I'd share.

Aggrevating controls are aggrevating.
No, I don't want to stick to the wall and die. I just wanted to look down the goddamn sights!!!

Yeah. I was hoping it would be as flexible as the reviews imply and I'd be able to play it without sneaking around so much, as I'm not a fan of stealth games. But when you're spotted, more often than not, you're screwed.
Also not a fan of not being able to customize the controls. I instinctually hit the L1 (on PS3) when I want to aim because that's where iron sites usually are...and instead, I stick to the nearest wall.
I can see the appeal, but I'll likely end up finishing Mass Effect instead. I see them as similar games, but I didn't find the mechanics in Mass Effect nearly as frustrating.

I'm the opposite. The concept was interesting at first but the story progression is atrocious (it sucks to be forced into obvious scenarios because the main character is too stupid to figure out what is painfully obvious) and the gameplay is clunky at best. I felt like a kid with muscular dystrophy rather than badass cyborg.

I enjoyed the heck out of Deus Ex, and one of those games i've been meaning to replay. I didn't have any control problems, but I was playing on PC.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Picked this up used over the weekend and am enjoying it but I agree with Chess, too little ammo and too easy to die means that if you get spotted you're screwed most of the time. I maxed out the health augmentation and am playing on easy and am still having trouble from time to time. Hopefully it will be easier to stay hidden once I augment my stealth.
I also have a hard time with the hacking but maybe that just will take practice.
Overall I'm liking the game, just got past the first boss which was a bit of a pain due to the lack of ammo (had to back track to get a powerful item).
Still, it's fun and seems well worth putting in the time to complete.
Oh also, the game locks up the PS3 when I have the 1.01 patch installed when I am at the Press start screen and press start. Tried a bunch of things and the only way it seems to work is with the 1.01 not installed. Plays perfectly fine that way. Odd

Will it also be available on PC? Or did that already happen?

So will that just be an addon for PC or a brand new game purchase?

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
It's weird that the trailer only shows bits from the one DLC mission.
I'd love to try this, but there's no way I'm getting it until there's a Steam sale for something like $5. I like that they fixed a lot of the things people complained about, but it still doesn't feel like a new game.

Why wouldn't they charge $50 or more? It is a new game.

It probably would have sold like shit anyway, and why the Director's Cut didn't end up exclusive to the Wii U. Are there that many people who would re-buy the game for $30-50 if they played it in it's original form, or would pay that much after passing up the original game? I can't imagine there would be, and even less people on the Wii U even if there are some nice advantages to the gamepad.
