Also, while trying to download the Check Mii Out! channel, it's taking forever, and then hanging up with a "Please try later" message. Is something wrong with the Shop Channel?

I found some stuff I wanted and assembled a cart yesterday morning, but...silly me...went to the store instead, to try and use a coupon and save on shipping. Got to the store, and it was totally picked over already. Got home and everything in my cart went bye-bye in the interim.

Man, there's really nothing left online. I won't be able to get to a store until Wednesday, so I guess I may be screwed on this one.
Edit: Games like Smash Brothers, Nights, and other pre-orders are showing up with the deal online. Would that work?

Oh, and I forgot this in my earlier comments about Umbrella Chronicles, but after playing it I don't think it will work well with the Zapper. There are a lot of uses of the A button involved, as well as some dodges that require pressing A and B simultaneously. Based on the design I just think this would be incredibly awkward to pull off with the Zapper. Now, I know there are other Controller layouts available in the game and I haven't played around with those. So maybe there's one that's more Zapper-friendly, I don't know.

As far as the TRU sale, I simply bought a couple "placeholder" games until the ones I want are at TRU. As long as you keep your receipt, no reason why you can't do an exchange. Assuming too that you can't find a Best Buy or Circuit City to price match, which seems to be a YMMV situation.

Picked up the Wii Zapper at Wal-Mart today. Have yet to try out the zapper or Link's Crossbow training, disappointed that the first thing I saw was the game has no case, small cardboard folder ala Wii sports.
However, I'm sure someone will create a nifty case size cover soon enough.
Anyways, if you're in need of a zapper fix call your local Wal-Mart if you're looking to do some shooting tonight.

I was in Jersey, total came up to $21 and change.
I think it's just GS and EB charging the extra $5.
So far Crossbow training is pretty cool, I know it'll have me addicted. The Zapper itself might take awhile to get used to. Also, be prepared to do some fine tuning for the cursor/crosshair when using the zapper.

I went to one local Toy's R Us, to get in on the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal. Every single game I wanted was out of stock, at that store. Come to find out, yesterday, they got 130 Wii's in, and the guy said they sold completely out by this morning. He said that almost every single person who bought a Wii picked up at least 3 games, and most of them actually bought 6. I believe it. They literally had around 40 games, total. Most of those were multiple copies of the same game.
I ended up buying 3 $49.99 titles (B2G1 free), and used my $25.00 Gift Card from the Super Mario Galaxy deal. Because I spent $75.00 or more, I used the coupon from this weeks ad, and also got a $10.00 Gift Card. So, for $83.83, I got three games, and a $10.00 Gift Card. I came home, and called the other location. They had the three games I wanted. They told me to bring the games I bought from the other store, and they would exchange them.
So, my haul was: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, and Need for Speed: Pro-Street. All for $83.83, plus I have a $10.00 Gift Card to spend on another purchase! Not a bad deal, at all!
Not that I have any time to play them, right now. I am still working my way through Super Mario Galaxy. I have 32 Stars, at present. I'm not rushing through. I'm really taking my time, and enjoying this game. In fact, I've went back and replayed some levels, just for the heck of it. I really LOVE this game, and it is the best game I've played in many years.
Anyway, I'm excited to at least try out my new purchases!

By the way, the Wii has now turned 1 year old as of November 19th! I've had my Wii since November 26th, 2006, and I have truly enjoyed it. It's the best console I've had since the Super Nintendo Entertainment System!
IGN.com is celebrating Wii's One Year Birthday, with an 8-page article:
http://wii.ign.com/articles/836/836459p1.html
Engadget.com is also celebrating, with a Wii Cake (which I swear I've seen before):

USAToday.com has a great article on the popularity of the Wii:

I'm sure there are more, but, I'm busy celebrating with some great new games, including the best game on Wii, Super Mario Galaxy!
