Seems odd no one else can confirm this price.

It seems like stores may have received stock for this endcap game display for the holidays, but maybe Ghost Squad is not yet in their system. As such, when they pull it up on their LRT, it tells them that it is an online only item. Standard protocol might then dictate the price.
I don't think it was an as-is returned item as it was factory sealed and there were at least 5 copies at the store I went to. I picked up two.

On my lunch break just now, I went to WalMart and they had five Wii systems in stock. I was going to buy one to eBay (yeah, I admit it), but was just a bit short because of some recent DVD purchases.
Anyway, the five systems were all gone in mere minutes. I'm talking 5-10 minutes or so. Once people knew they were there, they were all bought up.

At the last minute I decided not to take my Wii home for the holiday. When my grandfather showed up he asked me about "that bowling game I had last year". I felt bad that I didn't bring it since he kept saying how much fun he had with it.

I feel those charging stations are a ripoff. For the same price, I was able to get 24 rechargeable batteries that power all of my controllers, not just the Wii Remotes.

Looking for advice on what to buy...I have $70 to spend (gift cards)
Here's what I currently have:
3 Wii Remotes
3 Nunchucks
1 Classic controller
2 Gamecube controllers (though I can't find the wavebird transmitter right now)
1 Gamecube memory card (lost this too when we moved)
Excite Truck
Zelda: TP
Mario & Sonic Olympics
Smary Pants
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Warioware
Wii Play
Wii Sports (of course)
Things I'm considering:
Another remote (for a full set). This would be cool for Wii Sports, Smarty Pants, Mario & Sonic, and future games.
Wii Zapper
Wii Fit (waiting for it)
Another game.
This holiday got a lot more multiplayer play, which has been fun. I just got Super Mario Galaxy which should keep me busy in Single player mode. I'm leaning towards spending the money on another Wii remote and nunchuck -- or at least another Wii remote (and with the other $30, I go either do Wii Zapper or Zack & Wiki).

Buy Zack & Wiki, don't even think about that one. Not only is it one of the best games of the year in my opinion, not only is it at a solid price, not only does it show off many of the features of the Wii, but in buying it you'll also be supporting original 3rd party games on the system.

It's very addicting and very satisfying. My kids are even into it too.
I probably won't play SMG again until I beat it.
Definitely a must have!... I hope we get sequels too.

On Christmas Day, my son received MP3 from Santa and popped it into the Wii. So far so good... it starts to go through the required update and then it comes out with a disc read error. We pull the disc out and it has several perfect circular grooves in it. I'm beginning to think.. "Oh Crap," but we hadn't actually looked at the bottom of the disc before we put it in... so, I decide to put Wii Sports in after verifying no grooves in it. Same thing happens. Had to call Nintendo on Wednesday. They have upgraded the replacement shipping to 'red' but I still have to wait for them to receive the initial return with the actual Wii and both MP3 and Wii Sports which they are replacing. It's due to be delivered tomorrow by FedEx Ground. Hopefully my kids are playing our replacement Wii by the day after New Years. We still have another couple of games that haven't even been opened from Christmas.

I got my Perfect Shot in the mail yesterday. It's a pretty neat little peripheral...though I find that putting the Wiimote in a gun really highlights its lack of 1:1 aiming, where you don't notice so much normally. I played with my sensor bar settings and increased the sensitivity, and that helped a bit.
I've only used it on Wii Play, but I'm sure I'll pick up more shooter games in the near future. I'm too addicted to Guitar Hero and Geometry Wars to do much of anything else at the moment...to include spending proper time with my family and properly bathing myself.
Anyway, the thing seems really well made and designed with a great trigger mechanism and good balance. My only ergonomic complaint is that the gun handle is uber-thick, to the point of being almost uncomfortable after extended periods. I have pretty average man-hands, so if you're over 6 feet or so or if you have freakishly large hands, it should fit you perfectly.
I give it about a $10 out of $13...worth most of the purchase price, especially if you enjoy shooters.

I dig the zapper and REALLY want Ghost Squad for the cheap price. I'll also get other games they make down the line for it, like house of the dead, etc. I REALLY want Revolution X!
Ive played REUC and like it. I hold the zapper marine style with the back of the wiimote at my cheek and my eye going down the site, works good. Than when I get the shotgun, I hold it at my hip. I like it realistic

So I ended up pickinh up an extra Wii-mote and Zack & Wiki with my $70. The Wii-mote couldn't be found at the first Target I hit, which was nearly cleared out of it Wii dept. Only about 25% of Wii games were actually there and no official peripherals were there.
I ended up getting Zack at Gamestop and using my Target card to buy Baby formula.
So far I've only played the first few levels on Zack, but I can already tell it's a game I'll enjoy. I had some people watching and helping me play. So, it actually worked the way the game designers had planned (non-players helping you).
I've also managed to finally jump into Super Mario Galaxy and I'm impressed. I've only played for about 30 mins so far, but I'm amazed at it's graphics and gameplay so far. It is very disorienting to play (at least early on) though... with all the walking upside down and sideways.
Last night we played 4-player Smarty Pants, which was fun --- and frustrating when you know the answer and fail to buzz in on time. I was at a disadvantage anyway, cause I had the baby on my lap.
yeah.. that's it.
I've also managed to get some Mario & Sonic @ Olympics in and I actually really like that game. The reviews were unfair. It's a great companion piece to Wii Sports in my opinion.
