I just got to the part where a Big Daddy was already blown up and I had to choose to harvest or save the Little Sister. I opted to save her... anyways, Im assuming that it's still pretty early in the game and I have not had the chance to get more slots for plasmids, right?

I actually think a lot of the plasmids are rather useless... The cyclone trap is amusing but more of a pain than its worth. Enrage ends up getting me in more trouble than helping me out... I enraged a splicer to attack a Big Daddy, thinking I was stealthily wearing the BD down before I sprung my true attack. Once the splicer was dispatched the BD must've known I had sent the splicer and came after me! Same with Insect Swarm... Target dummy I didn't appreciate at first. I always was trying to use it as a panic move when a BD was bearing down on me, which never worked. It hadn't occurred to me to use it do distract turrets and security cameras until later in the game. |

Another big fan of telekinesis... In fact between that and the electroshock one, those are the only 2 I use really.
|
I won the game last night on normal and promptly started a new one on hard. With so many people swearing by telekinesis, I'll have to give it a try this run-through.
|
This game is probably the best I've seen for the 360 thus far. The sound, the graphics, the exploring, the weapons, the storyline--all truly excellent. I use primarily telekenisis and incinerate, but like electroshock too. GREAT game overall...

A question I have about the endings...
Spoiler:
|
As mush as enjoyed the game I found most of the plasmids useless. I used Swarm, Target Dummy and Cyclone once each probably. Enrage also caused me more problems than I can count. Hypnotizing the Big Daddy was fun but I only did that a couple times. Telekinesis, Electrobolt and Incinerate were the ones I used the most.
|
So I'm at the "go collect anything you need to" point at the game and I'm dying with these stupid diaries. Is there any way of knowing how many you have or which ones you need in the game? I've gone back to every level and there are no rooms I haven't investigated, so I've obviously just missed some (not surprising). I'm also shocked I haven't invented 100 items. Does anyone know if you have to actually use the invented items? I'm maxed out on almost all of my ammo and I'm just inventing stuff to get the achievement, I hope I'm not wasting time but I would have bet I had way more than 100 invented by now.

Both endings have been posted to YouTube, so if you want to see them without playing through a second time, you can. |

With respect to inventing things, you just have to invent. No need to even have room for it in your inventory. I think I got more than half my inventions when I was ready for the end of the game -- I just went up to a U-Invent and started cranking out crap I didn't need until I got the achievement. |

Swarm is really nice at level 3 against 1 splicer. You can send the swarm out, and they will ignore you while swatting at the bees. You then see their health drop pretty quickly until they either die, or a single shot or wrench hit by you delivers the killing blow. I use it, incinerate 3 and elctobolt 3 most. Telekinesis for things I can't reach or against missle turrets to throw them back or against a big daddy that is firing out mines. |

With so much talk about ammo being limited, I've barely used ammo. I get like 80% of my kills through melee. I don't even bother with the shock anymore because it takes the game like 5 seconds to cycle through magic and go to melee. The magic reloading time is also pretty terrible. It makes it not fun. I like the game so far but I'm not super impressed and I can only hope I can sell it for $40-$50 in a week or so when I beat it. |

That's just what it seems like. I know it's more "realistic" but it makes it kind of annoying.

So...I can save my game before I help the last one, finish the game, get the good ending, then load my save game, harvest her this time, and get the bad ending (and I am sure some achievement). COol! Umm... I know I'm an idiot here, but I went back to get all my stuff and now I can't figure out how the hell to get back to the final boss. Any help?
