So is this sequel to system shock? And if so how does it tie in to that game?
For those of you playing the PC version is the rootkit causing you problems? |
It is a spiritual successor to System Shock 2, but is an original IP. It does not take place in the System Shock universe, have any of the characters, etc.

I've been having horrible stuttering problems where the game will sort of freeze for a second. I know I'm not the only one, but I was wondering if anyone had been able to fix it somehow?

Clearing the cache on the Xbox 360 is a fairly simple process, and can be useful if the system seems sluggish, unresponsive, or you just need to get rid of a game update (for whatever reason). The most important part of clearing the cache is knowing what to expect. All downloaded game updates will be removed. So if you have downloaded an auto-update for a game, in order to play it on Xbox Live you will need to re-download it. User game saves, profiles, demos, videos, etc. are not deleted during the process. Clear the Cache on the Xbox 360 To clear the cache on the Xbox 360 do the following: * Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory. * Highlight the HD symbol and press Y. * Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X. You will see a confirmation message to confirm system maintenance, proceed. |
I completed the game on easy a couple of nights ago. I'd say I put in a good 15-17 hours or so. The ending was pretty lame, I agree.
Gonna go through it again on medium eventually. I have 605/1000 for the achievements so far. This is actually the highest I have ever gotten for a game in achievements before. |
Well my new 8800gts video card is on its way along w/ Vista, so I should be playing Bioshock within the next week.

Also, you don't have to kill him. As long as his helmet glows yellow, you could walk right next to him all day long. You don't bother him, he won't bother you. I'm guessing I have to take the BD out in front of the little sister instead of down some other area so to keep another BD from showing up right? I don't care to know how to take them out; it's just I don't want to keep them coming one after another. On this level (Medical) I was under the impression two little sisters and one BD. I've taken out two and already another BD has shown up next to the little sister. Kenny J - Buzz Starhopper |

It's the only game that does it and apparently I'm not alone. People on gamefaqs are complaining about it and the Gamespot review seems to have scored it a tad less because of it. |
My friend was playing the other night and while he was fighting the big daddy that had a little sister another big daddy showed up. When the first big daddy got low on health the second one forcefully took the little sister (at least that's what it sounded like). She kept screaming "No, I don't wanna go with you" etc. Then my friend had to kill the second BD to get the LS :(

I don't have a 360 so maybe you can forgive my stupid question. What exactly do the achievements do for you for getting them in the game?

Your GamerTag is your XBox ID. Every GamerTag has a certain GamerScore. You accumulate GamerScore by getting Achievements in games. Each game has a certain number of points to hand out (for retail games like Bioshock, it's 1000 points). The developers of the game decide what the Achievements will be and how many points each will be worth. So in Bioshock, for example, the developers decided that doing a successful hack for the first time would be an Achievement, and that it would be worth 5 points, and that completing the welcome level would be another achievement, and that one would be worth 10 points. The points mean absolutely nothing in the game, nor do the Achievements -- except to the extent they give you a way to track your progress. |

I searched but couldn't find the answer so...
Are the tonics stackable? Like If I have sport boost and sport boost 2 equiped, do I get a benefit from both? Or am i just wasting a slot? Thanks |
I like how the game tells you to finish up anything you want before the last battle.
I am at that point and still have some things to do. I still need to find: - 2 weapon upgrade stations - A few more tonics to get the achivement for getting 53. - More research. - Invent some more to get to 100 inventions - Audio diaries, I'm not sure how many I still need to find. |

I'll spoiler it just in case others are not at that point.
