Nothing in particular. I just don't like not having the option to browse and splurge on my own. The only things on my radar right now are Etrian Odyssey (due to the talk here) and Namco Museum. I'm willing to wait for the TRU sale to see what I can do there as well.

I finally drank the Kool Aid and got a DS last week. I totally love it! I've got Picross, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Puzzle Quest, and Meteos so far. They are all great games. I can't wait for the Toys R Us sale in a couple of weeks, because I plan on stocking up!

At Costco today I saw Puzzle Quest for $15.88... and a few others (Smart Boys Gameroom, Smart Girls Playhouse, Planet Puzzle League, and a few others).

All those games were $15.88? I'll have to get someone to pick up PPL for me

Just bought a DS Lite yesterday because of the ZELDA game, and I was wondering if you fine people know of a good case for it?

I'm looking for function over form, preferably Black or see-through, as it would mainly be in my messenger bag, so something that's hard shelled and keeps it safe. I don't care about extra space for games, cords, etc. just something that fits the DS lite itself.

Thanks!

I can't recommend this one* enough. I love it. It's in between a soft case and a hard plastic. Only slightly bigger than the DS with room for a half dozen games, and maybe a stylus.

*random ebay auction. Hell of a price though. Include "airfoam" in your search to bring up other auctions.

Saw the Nancy Drew game that darkside's wife was interested in at Wal-Mart this weekend. I recall discussing this before and figuring that it would be based on the movie, it doesn't appear to be, so, possibly she may still like it.

Allegedly. Worst case, just buy at TRU and return those unopened to the other store.

I'm a little time-sensitive since I'm travelling later this week and wanted to have something to amuse myself on the plane and in the hotel. But rest assured, I'll be hitting TRU next week and picking up 3 more games ... or possibly 6.

Actually ... does the Buy 2 Get 1 include other systems? Because I'll need to pick up the Orange Box and Katamari for the 360 next week.

Yes, you can mix and match the 3 games from any system. At least in the most recent sales. Just make sure you buy them in proper price order to maximize your savings.

Unbelievably so. But it's all in good fun.

I'm looking forward to the Harvey Birdman game from Capcom (PSP, PS2, Wii), which uses the same gameplay, but has full animation and voicework.

I'm going to be flying this November and want to take my DS on the plane. Should i be concerned about the X-Ray machine and the memory in the cartridges or anything?

Shouldn't be a problem. The DS uses flash memory for storage and the cartridges are mostly solid-state ROM cards with a little bit of flash or EEPROM. All of that stuff should hold up fine through a metal detector and an x-ray machine.

The only thing you really have to worry about with x-ray machines is certain types of high-speed film -- and apart from professionals, who even uses film any more?

My son's DS started acting up a few days ago - controller would move to the right only intermittently. We both noticed this in several games. Started the online RMA process, and am now waiting a shipping label from Nintendo.

Last night, he informs me it's working fine again. Do I forget about the RMA, or still send it in? A bit concerned because it's 11 months into the 12 month warranty, and I'd hate to have it crap out and cost me a $75 bench charge a month from now.

Shouldn't be. I travel a lot with my DS and haven't had a problem.

I believe the repair order is good for 90 days, so you wouldn't have to send it in right away. I'd double check with Nintendo to be sure though. Also, I agree with the others: send it in just to be sure.

Thanks for the advice - that's the way I was leaning. Got the RMA stuff today.

Just might have to pick up a "spare", though...

Went to TRU today to grab some Wii games on the 3-for-2 sale, and noticed a sign stating something to the effect of $20 giftcard w/purchase of a DS Lite. So, I got the spare I mentioned earlier, and used the $20 GC on the spot toward some Wii titles.

Good deal for anyone looking for a DS - effective price of $109.99 after the GC.

Anyone pick up Duck Amuck? I should have it tomorrow in the mail. I'm looking forward to it. It's been a long time since the Looney Tunes had a decent game. It's gotten a lot of positive buzz.
