Edit: Seems like you can do pickup for the standard edition but not the limited edition. I kinda want the limited edition, but I guess I can live without it to get this deal. Or maybe I could do an in-store exchange when I go to pick it up. I think it's worth a shot - thanks for posting about this!

apparently the error was fixed. I tried changing the quantity but I guess I missed the window. They are currently ringing up one at the 4.99 price, but the other two at the 19.99 price :/

By the way, here's my new TV showing off Eternal Sonata:

I need to get those speakers out of the way.

Good choice with the Samsung.
I'm probably going to pass on that deal (Halo + $5 card) considering I could probably get it for much cheaper through my friend. The $5 deal definitely is a good one, but I just got 4, 1600 pt cards from BB for $40 just on Sunday :/

It looks pretty good man. Are you happy with it? I'm looking to upgrade to HDTV soon and was leaning towards a Samsung DLP. Never thought about LCD's since i heard they were'nt suitable for gaming.

Nice one, Pixy. Watch out with those plasmas, though : I have a Samsung 42" plasma that's two years old and I already have pretty bad burn in on the right and left sides of the screen from having the TV display programs in their OAR all day (my wife and her friggin' HGTV
). Now we always get the image stretched out so we avoid further damage, but it's distracting and irritating. To this day it sickens me to think about how much I paid for it a couple of years ago.

I personally couldn't stand the picture on DLPs. I play way too many video games, so LCD seemed like the obvious choice for me as well
I think IF you got those 3 cards for $15, that probably was the best deal you'll see.
I'll probably wind up getting Halo 3 for about 1/2 price :/

same here. I really couldn't care less about the game, but I realize the series is "solid" and it's a good title to have when friends come around considering its popularity.
I realize I'm going to need a sh!t load of points for the GTA IV exclusive content. It would be nice to get it for a huge discount when all that shit drops

LCDs are probably the best HDTV for gaming right now based on my research.. although it's probably still up to each person's individual needs and budget. Plasmas aren't suitable due to burn-in and DLPs have noted lengthy upscaling time (which wouldn't be a problem if you plan on playing nothing but Xbox 360/PS3). I think the LCoS sets (like Sony's SXRD) are pretty great too, but I had a strong desire for a flat-panel for some reason.
Decker, mine is LCD, not plasma. I had a 42" Samsung plasma for a month last year and got burn-in right away playing Twilight Princess. Thankfully I was able to take it back and sit out another eight months until an LCD worthy of my specifications came out.

For those keeping score, this is my third 360. I've had this one for about 5 weeks, which means it's just outside of the 30-day in-store exchange period. Damn it!

Since I had gotten a refurb in my recent exchange, I called MS to get them to "fix" my XBLA games. It took a while on the phone (maybe an hour), but I'm supposed to be getting MS points for all of my prior purchases within 5-10 days.
While I don't understand why they don't have an automatic fix for everyone getting refurbs (it seems like some sort of "key" exchange should be easy, but who knows), this solution works well for me. I probably won't re-purchase a couple of the XBLA titles I have already played through but have the points back for them anyway. Now I can spend the points on new games (and my original gamercard will still play all the old games I had anyhow). Pretty cool deal and makes up for getting a refurb back.
For the inconvienence of needing to be connected to live (which does matter to me, when I take the console places), I'm happy with having the points refunded.

I got e-mail notifications that Circuit City stores around me had the 1600 point cards back in stock. However, I cannot order them from the website (they removed the entire 1600 card item page from their website). So I don't know if it's worth a trip there after work. If you have not been able to get any cards from CC, they might have restocked other stores as well. Worth checking if you have a CC close by...

When I've got those settings down to accommodate TV and movies, it's almost non-existent.

if you abuse your plasma, you will get burn in, but treat it properly and you will not. i.e. - lower your brightness, contrast!
