I may actually pick up Pacman CE as I was able to get 3 of the points cards from someone at the B1G1 price.

I suppose I should at least TRY to price-match one set of B1G1 points cards.. even after grabbing the one for $5 at Best Buy. I don't think there's much more right now that I'm itching to buy, but it'll be nice to have the cheap points in reserve. I grabbed Mutant Storm Reloaded, Jetpac Refueled and TMNT 1989 with the $5 card I got. Not a bad deal at all, I must say.

Aye, I may pick up Marathon. I don't get motion sickness on our 122" setup, which is nice. The updated visuals looks fairly decent considering.

My main question is, how long is the demo? I think I'm lost.

The demo is the first level. There's a computer that gives you your mission (go find two computer consoles and plug something into them); you have to go back to the computer once you accomplish that, and it ends the demo there.

my brother and my wife were having problems watching me try out that demo. I had to quit in like 3 minutes, but I didn't have a problem with it

I have about 30-40 DVDtalkers on my friends list and second to that is around 303,000. When I finish a round, which isn't often anymore, as I restart if I die, I average about 320k. Gotten to 350-360k a half dozen times.

Believe it or not, I'm not number 1 on my friends list. I added a CAGer the other day that has 4k more than me. I guess I could always drop his ass if I'm hard up for that numero uno spot.

Challenge Mode 2 was the bane of my existence until last night.

The first time I played CM1 I got 385k and 400k is the only achievement I have left. Hopefully just a few more rounds will yield that.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to come close to the top scores here on Championship Mode. 5 minutes is so short!

Damn, I wish this had Pac-Man Vs. on it.

Yep, #2 belongs to you. I'll look later and post a top 10 DVDtalkers.

Try Extra Mode 2 (I think). That's the one that did it for me. It's the one that starts with 10 power pellets. If you work it right, you can eat 40 ghosts in a row. Couple that with your first two fruits and you are basically starting the game with 160k within 1-2 mins. Then it is just a matter of staying alive. I think this is a 10 minute mode as well leaving you with 9 more minutes to get 240k.

*edit- I'm surprised with all the Pac-Man talk there has never been an actual Pac-Man thread.

I routinely come within 2-3k of my high score. My problem is that I die after the first freaking round of ghosts almost every time for some reason, so I start over (gotta have that perfect start) but then I fuck up around the 3 minute mark and die about six times in a row it seems without having done a damn thing nearly every game. So that's my 260k

My Mom is a CS manager at BB. I gave her a "hypothetical" situation yesterday, which was the same as the CC Points Deal, and asked if she'd price match it. She says their policy is to not price match any "Buy ____ Get ____" deals... whether it be BOGO or Buy something get $XX off.

Obviously, some employees could care less, but the official policy as far as she's aware is they won't honor it.

Here is the routes I take(well, about 98% anyway) and should help get you started on the right foot. That's mostly what I did. Followed the first 4 power pellets in the video. You shouldn't die at all during the first 6 pellets unless you stray from the path chasing extra ghosts. The rest is just a matter of following the pellet path.

That would be awesome. I just played through the SNES version a few weeks ago, and it would be great to be able to play it multiplayer.

Now that miyu has passed my Pac-Man CE score, I guess I need to start playing it some more.

Also, a tip for anyone else getting motion sickness from Marathon: turn on the "camera bob" option in the settings menu. It was recommended by one of the developers in a Joystiq article, and it seemed to help me.

On top of that, hopefully EA can team up with Konami to finally get The Simpsons arcade game on a console when their new game is released.

Is there an option to NOT boot a game when you put the disc in?

There's a way to boot to dash. As far as not booting after you put the game in then no.

Evidently, the newest batch of Elites has the 65 NM chips already.

This thread says to look for a lot number of 0728 or higher.
