Price mistake? possibly. Considering today is the beginning of the 5free offer for the add on, best to take advantage while you can.

Dang it....Its back up to 179.99 I should have ordered it this morning when I originally read your post

EDIT: Check this out, I just called my "local" best buy in Rochester and asked if they had the hd dvd player is stock, she said they did and it was 149.99. I asked her how long it was going to be that price and she started going through the whole story about microsoft lowering the price today, to which I answered "yeah they lowered the price, but only $20.00 to bring it down to 179.99", and she said that best buy likes to stay 20.00 below microsoft so that was not a SALE price, but instead thier REGULAR price from here on in.
First off, bestbuy.com is back up to 179.99 and 20.00 below 179.99 is 159.99 not 149.99 so there were a whole lotta things wrong with that sentence

Might be a good idea to avoid eating right before you play.

Maybe I can just play it in really small intervals...

Oh, and this morning, my 360 froze on the dashboard, with a few vertical bars of checkerboard pattern appearing. I reset it and it worked fine, but I guess I won't be too surprised if it red-rings in the next few days. Even if that happens, my 360 has had a good run. I bought it in December 2005 and it hasn't had a problem until now.

The whole transfer of Xbox Live Arcade titles process is a little disenchanting though, I must admit.

MS will refund you the points, if the serial # change is due to a refurb being sent but I don't know if they would due to an "upgrade".

I guess I'll just have to raise hell if they say no. No point in upgrading if my wife can't play the games she can play now.

For the past 2-3 days, I've been having a problem where XBL constantly disconnects, around every 10 minutes or so. I've tried disabling Windows Firewall, and that doesn't seem to help. I'm using a wired connection straight to my router. Any suggestions on what might be the problem/how to fix it? Not very knowledgeable about networking, so please be detailed.

What do you do to reconnect?

Has anyone reported upgrading and getting the points back? That is what I'm not sure about. It might be fine, we just have no data points on it.

Pac-Man: CE players, I have a theory about the controls being 'off'. I played some more last night and tried a new controller that's only been used a few times. The analog was very stiff making Pac-Man very hard to control. I only played a few minutes like this before I couldn't take it and swapped it out for my regular [launch]controller. Now Pac was smooth and easy to handle.
Sounds silly but it may have to do with how 'broken-in' your controller is to the fluidity of the controls. Of course there is nothing you can really do about it unless you changed up pads at some point and have an older one to go back to. Anyway, just a theory.
Great message on Live miyu. I got a kick out of that one.

Good luck, I know how annoying that problem is.
BTW, my situaiton was AT&T/Yahoo DSL -> D-Link Router -- this is a known compatability problem.

So, what are the chances that they release TMNT: Turtles in Time next week to tie-in with the DVD release of the new movie? I just picked up the first game since my friend wants to play through it once he gets his 360 next month.

Curse Corvin's score on Pac-Man. Curse it. Actually.. I haven't even been able to get back to my 300,00 milestone. I've done a few 260s and 280s.. but still coming shy of that miracle run (to which my friend can attest to me doing mad celebration dances once the timer hit 0:00 and I saw what I had gotten).

whats the top score on these boards?
I gotta believe there is a pattern too. I have a semi-pattern for the first minute or so and it works (as long as the controls don't F me). I saw on the Live leaderboard that someone has over 600k for 5 minutes!! That's sick - he's gotta have a pattern or else it's Charlie Babbich (sp?) playing the game.
