Not sure what's going on but it seems to be a regular thing for me now. Every replacement game they send me now is followed the next day by a game being sent via "fast return". The biggest problem I have now is finding time to play all these games

Yep. With my backlog and upcoming releases like Halo, GHIII and Mario I changed my account to one out at a time. I also bumped mostly DS games to the top of the list.

Is GNF's new look better? Previously, it felt/looked like it was designed by a third grader.

Gamefly's is very welld one, especially with the new GameQ.

It sure took them forever to make a decent queue system. As soon as I saw the change I immediately shifted all the titles in my queue in order of release.

Their service had been very good lately. It seems to take about 2 days for games to get to me. It does still take about twice that long for a game to be received but now and then the Fast Return will come to my rescue. I've really run out of games I wanted to try at the moment for I am catching up on titles that while recommended on here, I had very little interest in.

For those of you who use Brightspot to get credit towards your Gamefly account...have you been having trouble getting spots to view lately? Despite requesting them three times, I've only gotten one spot in the last two weeks.

Yep. I had no troubles the first month. Got $10 the first month, $5 the second month and I'm sitting at $.25 cents for this month.

For those of you that use Gamefly and have a PS3 how is the wait time on it? If I wanted to get only the new games (i.e. COD4) will I have to wait long to get it? Spending 60 bucks for +/-15 hours on a game is not very appealing to me right now so renting them seems like a good move for me.

I received both Heavenly Sword and Lair a day or so after release. I received Ratchet last week as soon as it was at the top of my queue.

I've had great luck on PS3 titles.

Thanks Michael for the information. I might try them out for a month or so and see how it goes. I really want to try Lair, Heavenly Sword, & others but for less than 20 hours of gameplay 60+ bucks is too much cash.

I guess this explains the slow down of spots.

Funny. I just canceled Gamefly on Saturday because of Brightspot's slowdown. I just can't afford $22 (or whatever) a month. It was cool for $12.

It's too bad.. I got some good deals from Gamefly... Used $10 in gamefly dollars and 5% off to get Phantom Hourglass really cheap.

Oh well. Christmas is coming and I still have a bunch of unfinished games.. so I don't need GF right now.

For me it's really been hit or miss. I've gotten a lot of recent titles but it's always a gamble. Generally if I don't get them that first day or two it's going to be a while before I see them.

I see. Well I do have the 60GB so I can always catch up on some older PS2 games. The only question I have left is do you get an instruction booklet with the game?

Nope. Disc only unless you buy the game. Then they ship the case/manual separate.

Oh I see. So I would have to go to other sites to get the controls or anything else down? Not a big problem I guess but something you have to deal with.

I think you can view the manuals on their site. So I've read anyway.

I canceled as well. Got a $10 coupon right after I spent my $5 GF Dollars and canceled. Thanks.

But my last game took 7 days to get received and another 8 to get the new one back to me. I would have been pissed if it wasn't Oblivion GOTY for the free $30 worth of DLC.

Oddly enough, I tossed my "return" game in the mail Wednesday, and they received it today. Convenient.

I'm actually getting a little frustrated with the site myslef. The turn around time is good enough for me since I'm close to a distro center, but they keep skipping over "high" availability games in my queue when I feel like at least some of those should be shipping. I get that Call of Duty 4 is going to have a wait, but Bioshock, Eternal Sonata, and Orange Box both were listed as "high", yet they skip all the way down to the tenth game on my list, Crackdown, and ship it.

I've been lucky. I've had titles listed as Low on the top of my list and I still get them, no problems.

FYI, I decided to cancel after this month, and went through the process on the site. I checked the "price" option under reason why and they offered me Dec. for $9.99. I took it.

Once again, I got shipped a high priority game that was below 4 other high priority games. This is aggravating. I stack the games I want to rent in a certain way for a reason. I'm interested in playing Eternal Sonata, thus the reason it's on my Q, but I don't have the time to dedicate to a game with any real length right now. That's why I had Orange Box at the top, and Sonata at the bottom, and yet Sonata is coming to me now. Joy.

I use my Q to save games that I would like to play, but I put them in the order I want them. I think the problem is I'm too used to Netflix, and I have to not have so many options on my Q. I'm thinking it might help if I only have five or so so games on my Q, all that I want to play now, so that they won't have a lower priority option to choose from.

ARG! I'll stop bitching now.

On the gamefly site you can view the game description, critic reviews, user reviews, videos, cheats and codes, instructions, and game specs for each title

instructions mostly just consists of the game controls

Re: The One and Only Gamefly Thread

I recently tried the free trial with Gamefly... I had my 10 trail and then went to the one Game a shipment deal. So I tried MC vs DC Universe for PS3 and sent it back....
I waited as it said Street Fighter was "At Home" it wasn't a week has gone by and nothing so today I filled a report and they say that they will eithier ship another Game of Street Fighter or the next game in my queue. I am confused what they said in the report letter:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Dear Paul,

This e-mail is to confirm that we have received the Shipping Problem report for Street Fighter IV (PS3) that you filed on the GameFly Web site.

We're sorry to hear that the game did not arrive to you. We will send you a replacement copy if it is available. If the same title is not currently available, we will send you the next available game in your GameQ to minimize the time you are without a game. Please make sure there are plenty of titles in your GameQ so we can send you a game to play right away.

If you do receive the game, please let us know and we will update your account. You can then return one of the copies to us in its shipping envelope and enjoy the other. "

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Am I reading this right, if the lost game turns up. I get to keep it or something? Just return one of the games? Why not both? You get to keep all the lost games, if they turn up?
