I might consider reopening my account once the Austin distro center opens up. I closed my account over a year ago because of the delay.

Question. When mailing back the game, do I need to notify them, or will it be scanned by the PO and that will electonically notify them? Is that what the "Fast Return" is?
You don't need to notify them. You just send it.

Fast return is something, that when it works (or is used by Gamefly), is when USPS notifies Gamefly that your envelope has been scanned by them -- So Gamefly in turn, processes your next shipment, so you don't have to wait for Gamefly to actually physically receive your return. However, I've only had a Fast Return on about 1/5th of my returns.

Although, people on CAG complain of Gameznflix also.
Wow. That is an understatement. I was going to look into the site after your post but hit up CAG for some user feedback. Just browsing a dozen random pages out of the 1,200 replies revealed that this site is a nightmare. I think I only saw one post by a user that had a good experience.

gameznflix used to be a good option, but as of late it sounds like the service has gone downhill.

I have been debating trying Gamefly. I really want to try it out because I would get to play games much sooner after they are released, right now I wait til games come down in price before I play them, which means nobody is talking about them anymore. The Darkness comes to mind as a game I really want to play, but I will wait to play it until it drops in price. But I have so many unplayed games already, and keep buying more, so I'm not sure it would be money well spent. Playing Zelda TP, MGS3, and Lunar Knights right now, with Dead Rising on deck, it's not like I'm hurting for games.

My first shipment was fast - everything else has been dog slow. I returned a game on Monday and noticed that the latest game shipped today, so I'll probably get it next week.

I am not terribly impressed, especially since I can get a Blockbuster DVD online with a two day turnaround.

Well I returned my first game last Thursday they received it Monday. They sent my next game Tuesday and I received it Today. That is roughly the same shipping time it took to get a game from GameznFlix. GNF was suppose to ship to me from their Florida center, but I rarely got anything from there and right before I cancelled it was taking 10 days for them to register my returns which started going to Kentucky.

I think the main problem that gameznflix encountered was they over expanded and they did not stock enough to keep up with demand. Also half the time the new games and movies were usually on order for weeks after their release sometimes longer.

Games shipped on Thurs, got them on Sat in Texas. Dropping them off at a box tonight. We'll see how long the turnaround is.

Anybody else using the free trial to boost their Live scores with easy achievements? :P

I go through GF and if my local store actually carried good xbox games I wouldn't even go through them. It takes me a 2 weeks from sending in a game to get another one.

Living in the middle of the country sucks.

I thought I would grab one or two. I nabbed Madden 06 and Fight Night. I could care less about Madden, that was for points. I was interested in Fight Night though. That is still one of the better demos on the Marketplace. I'm not a fan of boxing, but it is a great game. Definite workout on the thumbs.

Hopefully Overlord and NBA Street are next.

Guilty. I'm doing this so that in case there's another Reward Challenge in the future, I can get in on the top level.

The Darkness copy I got sent was bunk. Had a deep gash in it that caused a problem at the same spot. Tried buffing it some with a micro fiber cloth, but nothing doing. I filed a report on their website so hopefully they'll send me another copy of the same game instead of the next one in my Q

Both games I got were scratched pretty good. All surface scratches though. No deep gashes. So I cleaned 'em up with some cleaner before putting them in the 360. Didn't really have any issues since I did that.

Count me as pleasantly surprised for Fight Night. It always makes the "easy points" lists, but it was still a good 8+ hours for me. Personally after playing the demo I didn't see what the whole game could offer worthy of a purchase. It was pretty addictive though. The commentating was great as was the eventual rivals the more you play. The mini-games were interesting as well. Nice little touches.

I hope your punching with the analogs. Really makes the game worth playing. It's all about the counter + haymaker

Agreed, playing with the sticks makes it tough to be competitive online but damn it is so much more fun than using the face buttons. I really really enjoyed that game.

Also, i'm sending a flawless copy of Darkness back to Gamefly today so maybe you will luck out and get that one. I hit a glitch playing it that made me have to re-do a couple chapters and it annoyed me too much to finish it right now. May have to rent it again later.

sucks because the demo on LIVE really changed my mind about the game. My copy would continually give me a "dirty disc" error when I would pick up a body for the butcher and try to put it in the back of his car.

the other game I got was Big Brain (Wii) which is pretty dumb and is being sent back today as well.

I have enjoyed GF so far and combining it with brightspot.tv for the 10$ discount every month has been great. I sat on Shadowrun and Darkness for a while and it easily saved me the cash from buying both games. I also like the 5$ credits you get every three months to buy used games. I ended up getting Chromehounds used and in perfect condition for like 11$ from them.

Oh yeah. I couldn't imagine using the buttons. I thought the analog control worked great. Long sessions wear on the thumbs though.

Got God of War 2 and Destroy Humans 2 on Saturday (After them being shipped Wed)

Beat GOW2 tonight and just got back from PO. Will start DAH2 tomorrow.

Taking 3 days to get a game is too long I think. Im a bit pissed at that. Plus I dont know how I beat GOW so damn quickly, it was on normal too.

Cant wait to see the turn around...
