I did mine online on 09/03 (Labor Day Holiday) and received the box on 09/07.

My box took a week to get to me, and the repair center is only 18 miles away!! So good luck......anyway, does anyone know how to check the status of your repair? or is it gonna be a run-a-round every time I call?.....Thanks

My update: I know that I am setting myself up for a let down.....but....I called the 800 # today. The computer MAX told me that my repair was finished and that my console was shipping today!!! yea right, the repair center just received my unit on Thursday. Anyway, I asked MAX to let me talk to a real person. I was pleasantly surprised when the human on the other end spoke very clear English!! She double and triple checked...paused...and then said, according to all of the information that she had....the unit did indeed ship today!......Then....I heard her say,this can't be right?...uh ohhh...here it comes.....she said that she could not get me a tracking number because the one on record stated that they were shipping my unit to Mexico!! WTF! Then she said that it is an obvious mistake(the tracking number) and that I should check again later tonight to see if it is corrected. While she was verifying all of the nonsense, I was rambling on about the whole process and she let me know that the reason that my 360 had such a quick turn-a-round time was that the repair center now automatically sends out a refurb or a new unit upon receipt of a bad unit. They are trying to lower the time that you are left without a console.....How nice is that, everything that I wanted to hear...all in one call....we'll see...the repair center is 18 miles away.....lets see how long it takes...let the timer begin!....one thousand- one....one thousand-two.....one thousand-thr..................

Hmm, they got mine on Sept. 11th according to them and they have yet to ship me a replacement. I think they were just telling you what they wanted you to hear.

I got an e-mail today saying they received my 360. Oooo kaaayeeee, It said to go to the service.xbox.com site to check the status. So I clicked then link then freaked out that the link was phishing scam. So I went to site manually and logged in but nothing was showing. So I registered the Serial # for the 360 I sent in and it said nothing of it's status other than it was out of warranty and that there was no pending repair. What the fuck MS? Does that mean it's been junked and you're sending me a refurb? What does this mean?

MS You're killing me!!! Why are you guys giving me so much god damn grief????

The online tracking of repairs is not accurate for anybody. Your symptoms are different because you registered with the site and tracked it AFTER phoning it in. I did it all online, and while it was different, the status wasn't any more accurate than what you are seeing.

There are 2 things I learned about the 360 repair process... it will take 3-4 weeks total turnaround, and "don't ask, don't tell" about repair status. You only get info that is erroneous and will freak you out, or that is erroneous and will give you a false sense of hope. ;)

Wow. You know the 1st time I had to send my 360 in it was a lot less painful.

UPDATE:..Color me HAPPY!!, Got home from work today and there was a UPS sticker on the door. I just missed the guy by an hour and 10 mins. So I promptly called UPS and made an arrangement to have it dropped of at my work tomorrow!!!! So let me see, I think this might qualify as the quickest 360 return in history! The repair center received my 360 on Thursday, the 20th. and if I would have been home today, that would make it 5 whole days!!!.....I put off buying Halo 3 because my 360 was gonna take a month to get here...well not any more...bought it today @ 5pm!!! See most of you online tomorrow!!!

P.S.
I think it also helps that the repair center is only 18 miles away....

That damn service site is still saying the same thing about my unit not being scheduled for repair and it being out of warranty, I'm starting to get worried.

You know, at this point I just want MS to give me a check for $500 for the console and $1200.00 for the 20 or so 360 games I've bought. :lol: :(

Update: Got my 360 back today. They really did fix it quick, as a matter of fact, I got my same 360 back!...played Halo 3 for about 2hrs straight.....(crossing fingers) and no problems........

Ok, finally got a 360 back today. I got a UPS message on my machine Wed night saying it was going to be delivered.

Manufactured: 2007-07-22 I guess that's good.

NO HDMI :( :grunt:

I hope that even if there's no HDMI the inside hardware is the latest upgrade....we'll see.

My 360 has been at the service center since 09/15...just for kicks, I did the "track a package by reference number" at ups.com using my repair number and it looks like they are preparing to ship out my replacement today.

Halo 3 here I come!

I decided to call support today, since I haven't recieved a shipping box since I called in for repair last Thursday. I put in the reference number the guy had given me, but the automated system couldn't find it. It transfered me to an agent. The girl I talked to said she found the service request, but that she couldn't access it because they were having problems with their system. She tried creating a new repair order, but the system wouldn't let her finish. She gave me another reference number. Now I'm supposed to call back tomorrow, give whoever my ref number, and have them complete the repair order. This is getting pretty annoying. Although the girl I talked to this time seemed to know more about what she was doing than the idiot I talked to the first time. Hopefully the next person will get a box shipped to me. Thank goodness I have TF2 and World in Conflict to keep me busy while I can't play Halo 3.

Called them up today regarding the status of the repair. At first, he couldn't find it by my order #. I had to give him my phone # and the order showed up. My new one shipped yesterday and I'll be getting it on Monday. This will be my fourth one btw, hopefully it will be a brand new one.

How long between the time that your original serial number disapears and you receive your new system becuase for the last 2 days the site says I don't have a registered system right now and they have only had the thing since monday.

Well, I called back a third time to try and find out why I still haven't recieved a box to ship back my 360. The girl I talked to yesterday, said that if I gave them the reference number she gave me, they could finish the repair order. Well, I guess they couldn't, since this guy has given me a third reference number and told me to wait another 3-5 business days to get my shipping box. I'm starting to get pissed off. Why is this difficult?

You know, my 360 says it was made in July of 2007 but i still think it's a refurb. I don't think it's "brand new". :(
