I was originally just going to get it at for the PS3 but I got in on the glitch for the 360 version at Circuit City with COD3:GE for 30 bucks. I have friends that have only one or the other so I just figured I would get both just to play with them. I'm a great friend.

I've been having a hell of a time connecting to matches via Xbox Live over the last couple of days. In fact, all I've been able to do is get into a lobby for a few minutes before the lobby just closes. I haven't been able to actually play a round since Sunday morning.

I've read elsewhere that many other people are having this problem, but I hadn't seen it mentioned here yet. Is anyone else experiencing this?

same thing here. for a second there yesterday, i thought my xbox was gonna crash. It keeped asking me to log in when i was already logged in to xbox live. Then when i tried to join a match my 360 would just freeze and I would have to restart it. I finally said screw it and went to bed. Halo works fine for me but COD is still not working.

I found Halo a little slower than usual in connecting to a match today,

Nothing but problems with COD4 tonight as well.

I just stopped playing because of all these problems, instead, to make up getting to rank 47 in 2 days after game release, I've been outside! Also, too many punk ass kids came over from Halo 3, kind of ruined the experience for me.

47 in 2 days?!?! damn.

hey guys, i think the servers are back up! i've been playing since 9 PM PST without any problems. I noticed a little lag in one game but i just got done playing for over an hour without getting booted out.

So now the PS3 and 360 versions are even thanks to some difficult times finding matches and staying in games. Playing more than a few rounds today was pure torture. Each time I was a few points from leveling I would not be able to join or play a single game.

The plus side to this was I joined a few game types that I rarely play and I met a few cool people. I was afraid of playing jerks in the 1 vs. 1 game but the guy I stomped was pretty cool to talk to. I even took pity on him when it came time to call in my airstrike and sent it to the edge of the map.

what does the upside down white tear drop mean when playing multi, I thought it was when a player was calling in a plane strike but now I'm not sure.

Is that good? How many hours did you log in those 2 days?

Around 20 hours by 12am Nov. 9th. I've only played for an hour or two since then.

My 360 is on it's way home, so there is some CoD4 in my near future!

I just this morning took the shrink wrap off of mine but i still haven't fired it up.

Sadly i will probably not be on Live from this Friday to the next Friday. I'm going to go visit some friends in Seattle over the holiday and will be Xbox-less for a week.

I fear what ranks everyone will be when i come back.

I was having tons of problems with Live yesterday as well. Figures that the game would crap out during my best round ever. I had 18 kills in the first two minutes of team deathmatch (I usually average about 8 a game total) before the system went belly up. Yippee.

Can you change your loadout on the single player missions? Or do you have to use the weapons they give you? I thought you could in the past games but I can't remember for sure.

You can't, but there are different guns laying around you can pick up.

Man, the M60 with the grip is quite unstoppable.

word. make sure you have the sleight of hand as a perk too ( or else someone will find you as the gun takes like a bazillion years to reload. the gun is awesome as long as you don't have to shoot anyone too far, you'll win the battle.

Well COD4 is pretty much unplayable tonight as well. Might want to get that fixed Microsoft.

I am 24 after 12 hours in, but that's been over the span of a week.
