I keep playing it in arcade mode. it's just so much fun. That level is one that really has to be played through an amp.

Had fun playing with you guys last night. For some reason I kept getting dropped from the parties so I was jumping from room to room. I can't play this game as long as I could Halo, though. Maybe it's because I have to concentrate so hard to actually see someone as opposed to Halo, but after a while I start to get a headache. Czar, Canis and myself were getting sniped so much on "Crossfire" I was afraid to move at all after respawning.

I picked this game up yesterday and played for about half the night... I'm somewhere in the middle of Act II, and my favorite level so far is the Ghillie Suit flashback maps. Amazing game! Multiplayer is a lot of fun too, though I'm only at level 4 right now so don't have access to a lot of game modes.
Only downside so far is the PS3 version has been having problems getting multiplayer games started. Apparently a server side issue at Activistion.

Has their been mention of a fix or cause for the issue I seem to have everytime I try to play?
When I start the game, if I try to jump into a party via invite, I get a message stating that my playlist is older then the hosts and I have to update it.I have to start a live matchmaking session, let it find a game and put my in a lobby. Then I can exit out and wait for an invite and finally get in the intended lobby.
Such a big hassle as I always forget to try to connect to a live match first to avoid that message.

Man it is so frustrating trying to get a MP game on the PS3. I've had to wait a good 10 minutes before it finds a match and it also takes the server forever to download the game settings. Thank god I also bought it for my 360 which has been a much more enjoyable experience.

I don't see a huge problem buying it for more than one system.

I played a little bit recently... I hate to say that I'm bit disappointed. Graphic is great and everything. But there's one thing missing on COD 4 is "take cover" where you can peek around the corner or shoot around the corner without expose yourself - like GRAW, GRAW 2, Rainbow Vegas, and Perfect Dark Zero does.

Edit to add: I just made 4 headshots in row - with controller!!
I never had that bonus in other FPS games. If it was keyboard/mouse, I would have more than 10 headshots in row.

Gears had more of a dystopian sci-fi setting, while R6:V was, obviously, more realistic. But as far as cover systems, I felt R6's was far more intuitive and way more fun. Try the demo.

In R6:V, you entered cover mode by a button or trigger, I cannot recall which. It was an easier to use system. I fought so much with the cover in GoW when it would auto put me into cover when I got close to a building.

It is left trigger to do the cover in R6V. And GoW doesn't do the cover system automatically, you are thinking of GRAW.
I also agree that R6V is better, but the one in GoW works fine for a third person shooter.

And from my memory GoW certainly did auto cover. I'd be running and hit the edge of a building and bam, I'm in cover mode. I wanted to keep running, but it made me go into cover mode. :hshake:
