Have you tried switching the settings from Enhanced to Orginal?

That last hole on the golf trial is some messed up stuff. I applaud their creativity but after getting a +4 on it I was less than happy. I might let the wife try if and if she likes it I'll go ahead and buy it.
In regards to the Minigolf I was looking foward to this but after playing the demo I don't think I will purchase it now. The levels in the demo did not sell me. I am also looking foward to pinball(whenever it comes out) I hope it does not disappoint.

Yep, the original sound effects are what I'm talking about. They're not what I remember. They sound completely wrong. I have to play with the enhanced sounds to even make it tolerable.

Did the minigolf seem to load extra slow for anyone else? Things like selecting a different golfer took a solid 5 seconds to switch. And it wasn't just that, everything seemed to be slow loading.

I played the demo, but need to play it again. I really, really wanted to like this game, but it just didn't work for me. Such a game would be a great addition to my game collection, but this just seemed to miss. I'll give it another shot though...

I had the same thought. I really wanted this to be good.

I played the demo and was underwhelmed. I told my 12 and 13 year old boys I'd get it if they thought they'd play it and both said "no thanks".

Glad they are still actually working on this. Good to see Mercenaries and Republic Commando on there. Still no Price of Persia sequels or Riddick, two of the best titles last gen.

Kinda odd seeing Cars, Tiger Woods 07, and COD3 on there. Seems like those were probably ready to go from the day they were released but held back to push 360 sales over the cheaper Xbox version.

This is probably a stupid question about BC, but here goes.

If the title isn't on the list can you simply not play it on the 360 or is the compatibility just "not guaranteed"? I still have 7 (out of 20) Xbox games that aren't compatible. Beyond G&E, PoP2&3 the most notable.

For those of you keeping track, I finally received my repaired 360 unit today. So from the time I called to the time I received the fixed unit, it was 16 days. They also sent me a free 1 month xbox live gold card. I noticed that the mfr date was different then my original unit. I assume they sent me a refurbished unit, as I had to re-enter my xbox live settings. At first I thought it was a little quieter, but now I think it's just been a while since I've played with the 360 and forgot how it sounds.

Be sure to call to make sure your warranty was carried over to the new serial # since it is a different console.

Even though it goes against my rules, maybe I should just look to get a used gamecube version of those games so I can finally dump my xbox...

That's what I did. PoP: WW looks kinda cruddy, but I never saw it on the Xbox to make a fair comparison.

Michael, its really easy to tell which 360 drive you have

Samsung will be 2 circles when you eject the drive, with the tray looking somewhat normal (slight box pattern cut of the oval, if you will)

the hitachi drive has little half-circles cut out of the tray in like 4 or 5 places.

BenQ drives (the quiet ones) were produced AFTER november '06 and usually appear darker

It looks like I'll be 16 days as well, if I get mine back on Monday. Mine shipped (?) yesterday, but UPS still just says "billing information received". It could be anywhere between Texas and Portland, or still languishing on the dock at the service depot.

Those are my two absolute favorite Xbox games, I thought they'd NEVER show up on BC! Hell, I thought they were done with updating BC at all, this is great news. I'll probably sell my OG Xbox now.. knowing that I can eventually get a 360 and be able to still play these AMAZING games.

They put a sticker on of my old serial number. Besides, I bought a 2 year warranty. Forgot to add, the ups man asked me what was in the white box. He said he had a whole bunch to deliver and was wondering what they were. I told him it was a repaired 360.

The great thing for me is that I never owned an original Xbox, so I've only played small bits of each game at a friend's place. Now I get to play through the entire games, so I'm pretty excited. One word of warning: the JSRF/Sega GT 2002 combo disc is reportedly not working. That's the one I picked up a while back in anticipation of JSRF eventually becoming BC, and since it was only $2. Luckily there's a Gamestop nearby that has JSRF standalone for $4, so I'll be getting it on the way home from work tonight, along with PDO.

Nice. I can't wait to play Panzer Dragoon again. It was one of the few XBOX games I kept when I sold it off. Now I just need Morrowind on that list and I'll be all set.

The tracking info has finally updated on UPS. They're now saying Tuesday delivery. Apparently it was sitting on the dock for more than 24 hours. What a bunch of crap.
